No frills Campanile, this makes for a pleasant stopover on a long journey. Beds are very comfortable standard of cleanliness and service very good. Restaurant format of buffet/ plat du jour choice is very reassuring and welcoming at the end of a long day. Staff anxious to please and very helpful in finding an excellent Garden Centre nearby - Truffaut.... More

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. The satnav finds it easily. It's only 5 mins or so off the motorway The makeover is excellent Particularly like the new showers Food is basic but good and the staff very helpful Remember it's a Camponile not the Savoy

As a regular user of Campanile hotels I was keen to try the one in Tours. As yet, this has not been upgraded but partial works have now commenced. The Hotel itself is okay, the staff excellent but the Buffet in the restaurant is the poorest we have ever come across. Extremely limited choice, lacking any substance and very over-priced... More

The publicity shows this hotel being on a main drag going into Tours. It is in fact tucked away on a small side road in a complicated one-way system that gets horribly clogged at peak periods. It is not evident from the main road and the maps offered on the website are useless. I am a resident of France and... More

This is the first time that I have stayed in a motel. We were recommended to stay at a Campanile with our dogs to break the journey driving through France from Spain. We were also warned about the small beds - we have 2 big dogs, We booked 2 rooms and asked for them to be next to each other... More

For a reasonably expensive hotel the room was extremely basic and the hotel itself exceedingly ugly... However, in the photo it was made out to be traditional and not a roadside shed. The staff were not helpful or kind.

Obviously we weren't expecting luxury and elegance when we booked the Campanile hotel, the reason was simply for the ease of accessing outside quickly, one of our party was a smoker and also disabled. It's position is very convenient for the A10 and there are a few of the usual "chain" restaurants nearby. The rooms left something to be desired,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, on the outskirts of Tours to give us a jumping off point to visit the area of the Loire Valley... we were looking for cheap, parking, and a bed. We got all three! The hotel is sort of in the style of the old "Red Roof Inns" that I remember from 20 years ago... More

First time at a Campanile and not disappointed. Very organised. They tried to talk us into dining there but only had a drink after eating elsewhere. Dining room a tad sterile and drinks not cheap. Room clean and tidy and wi-fi brilliant. Bath tiny but I guess that's irrelevant. Good location for trollers as are loads of other hotels/motels in... More
