So much better than staying in a hotel. The surroundings are both tranquil and exotic. The gardens full of fascinating plants and fruits - we were given a guided tour of the organic farm by Sintra. As some of the other reviews state - you are greeted by the majority of the staff and Jose and Sinta make you feel very welcome with jasmine garlands and coconut juice. Wonderful haven, relaxing, amazing food, lovely host family, spice and fruit trees. River to swim in and also fresh water swimming pool. Hammocks. Could not recommend it more. Beautiful surroundings, so peaceful.

We spent 3 weeks in Kerala in March, including 3 nights in Dewalokam. We were greeted by all of the staff, with jasmine garlands and coconut milk. The house was clean ,comfortable and quiet.
