Cottage, rooms full of English features, farm, apple trees, rams, horses, garden, meadow… crisp air and sunshines piecing through trees in an English countryside morning… these were unforgettably impressive to me. Yet do not forget that I am from the far far away East, so my opinion probably suits the Asian travelers more. Basically that English cottage was exactly what... More

We stayed on a business trip. Only four miles from Cambridge but in stunning countryside location. Stands in 50 acres. Completely private and classes as a B&B. Outstanding in every way. Stayed in a beautiful room in the main house. Outstanding building and decor. Fabulous breakfast with lovely staff. Clearly very popular. Very reasonable prices. Exceptional!!! Shall definitely return on... More

Although it can't be denied that the area is pretty, the manager/owner, as many have said, is very unpleasant/bizarre. It's a shame as the farm really is special - it would probably be good without him.

Planing a trip to the Duxford air show we had difficulty getting any rooms fro 2 adults and 2 children. Rectory Farm only had the Gate lodge available and we was warned it needed updating.- boy that's a understatement. The windows have gaps at the top which day light can be seen, the patio door has the same, there are... More

My husband and I have just returned from a truly lovely two night break in a wonderful B & B. Rectory Farm is a beautiful old country house with a cosy atmosphere. When we drove through the gates and along the drive we were so thrilled when we saw the frontage of the hotel. The décor inside was very tasteful... More

Rectory Farm's stately building and surrounds gives a sense of uniqueness and reality rolled into one. The staff, who represent a number of countries as their own homelands, give Rectory Farm a harmony that is tangible. Our room was comfortable; the breakfast in the sun room overlooking the garden will linger in our memories. A beautiful place with engaging staff.... More

This is a really nice house tucked away at the end of a lovely gated driveway. We stayed in a rather nice purpose built building about 100yds from the main house. The house is surrounded by lovely gardens & grounds. Its also very conveniently located to a park & ride bus into Cambridge city centre. Breakfast was extra for us... More

This place is so lovely! I only stayed one night but will definitely be returning. Friendly and professional welcome by the owner who showed me around the place - it is beautiful. I felt relaxed the minute I arrived. The grounds are stunning and the main house is full of character. My room was tasteful decorated and extremely comfortable -... More

I am glad I did not read the recent negative reviews this place received as I would have cancelled my booking. As it was, my cousin and I enjoyed a very comfortable, happy stay on Wednesday night. We stayed in the recently converted barn annex which we liked, our rooms, although small, were comfortable and clean although there was a... More
