We stayed for just one night for my fiancées birthday and we were extremely happy with our stay. Lovely couple and beautiful house and garden. Fantastic home cooked food and brilliant hospitality. Very large bedroom and en suite with everything we needed and were made to feel very at home. Can't find any faults except no card payments which we... More

Very welcoming as we arrived after a day walking on Glyndwr's Way. Sue and John were very hospitable. Guests have a picture window lounge overlooking the lake in the foreground and the hills in the distance. There were close up views of jays and woodpeckers, with pheasants wandering back and forth across the lawn. The bedroom was spacious, light and... More

We've just returned from a great overnight stay with Sue and John at Dolanog. We were met on arrival and our bags taken straight to our rooms for us. We then enjoyed a pot of tea sat overlooking the lovely view of the fishing pond and the lambs playing in the fields. Both rooms ( king size bed ensuite and... More

We spent four nights here whilst doing Glyndwr's Way. This included dinner on each night. The food was excellent and there was a good choice of very reasonably priced wines and beers. The best cottage pie ever!! John and Sue were great hosts and the whole stay was really relaxing. We would not hesitate to go back.

A wonderful ,friendly welcome and a stunning house and location. Meals were fantastic and we have seldom had more congenial hosts. I strongly recommend this place, especially if you are walking Glyndwrs Way - at the end of a tiring day it was like coming home!

I was booked in here by the office and they couldn't have picked better. The welcome was friendly, the room was spotless and very stylish, without being over the top, and free wifi. The owners were very accommodating as I was having to leave early in the mornings but breakfast was always available no matter what time. Bonus to this... More
