Simply amazing stay. Five starts in my book. The proprietors have thought of every detail. Very well organised. Comfortable room and bed, and scrumptious breakfast with a very wide choice to suit all tastes. This is a very under-rated part of Wales. Very beautiful countryside.

Wow - thank you very much for saying such nice things about your stay with us. I'm glad you enjoyed your breakfasts - we've tried to make sure that everyone would find something! We even offer alternatives for Caeliacs or food allergies. And I totally agree with you about this part of Wales...! Hope we see you again. Regards, Fiona... More

Very welcoming and extremely helpful. Fiona sorted out somewhere for us to eat and taxis, and also somewhere to park our motorbikes. Lovely breakfast as we'll and Fiona even did us an early breakfast on one day when we had to leave early. Thank you

Thank you for saying such wonderful things about us and about your stay here. We're only too happy to offer early breakfasts when necessary and I know it sets you up for a day of rallying around Wales, as we often have motorbikers to stay. You're more than welcome - maybe we'll see you again next year! Regards, Fiona &... More

Excellent service from the moment we arrived. Superb peaceful rural location with an abundance of birds. The room, Woodpecker, was excellent and the attention to detail superb. Very hearty excellent Welsh farmhouse breakfast. Free wifi thrown in and dinner could be provided if required. An added bonus was the acceptance of your own alcoholic beverages with charges only for corkage... More

This was a lovely b and b to stay in, surrounded by the gorgeous powys countryside in mid Wales. I was greeted by the very welcoming owner of Gwaenynog, who provided with me with light freshments upon my arrival and a thorough guide of the bed and breakfast. The double room I stayed in was immaculate and so cosy, not... More

if you want a friendly and welcoming farmhouse then look no further, from the outset ~fiona and Norman made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We visited the area for the first time to buy a puppy, we will definitely be returning with our new found family member and what's great is that they cater for... More

Warm welcome on arrival. Were met at the door by Fiona who was an excellent host, she made sure that everything was to our taste and satisfaction. Food was top drawer, steaks were exactly how we requested them & would be keen to get a copy of her Lasagne recipe. Room was spacious and bed was extremely comfy. Hearty breakfast... More

We try to go to Powys a few times a year and this property was new to us, we travelled with friends. The property was easy to find given Fiona’s instructions. The property is in a lovely location just 12 miles from Welshpool. The owners were a nice couple, the food was good, the rooms were clean and tidy and... More

Gorgeous room with 4 poster bed and sofa, large shower room, tea and coffee facilities. Lovely place in the hills of Wales. Excellent breakfast menu. We don't travel anywhere without our dogs and they too enjoyed a stay in a large indoor pen and loved running around the nearby field (securely fenced). Fabulous location with some great things to see... More

Having had an extremely hectic few months, we were a bit tardy in ensuring that we got away for the August Bank Holiday, but were in desperate need of some serious peace and quiet, and decent R&R. Frantically surfing the internet eventually yielded a vacancy for the nights we wanted at the Gwaenynog Farmhouse B&B, price reasonable, reviews excellent, location... More

We stayed 3 nights over the bank holiday. Room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast each day was fantastic with a great selection! The location was very peaceful and great jumping off point for local activities. We were made to feel very welcome and our hosts were extremely helpful throughout.
