Had an amazing weekend camping at our friends wedding. Good facilities, great veiws and lovely friends. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. Unfortunately, as with most weddings there is always one guest who has a little too much to drink and gets a bit rowdy. The difference with here however, was the lady owner of the site, after giving... More

To be fair to our lovely host Fiona, she did warn us that there would be a wedding taking place during the weekend following our stay. This, we thought, having seen our own daughter married the previous weeken, would not be a problem to us at all. However, although we had a very enjoyable stay, we feel that perhaps Fiona... More

Thank you for your review of us - we're glad you enjoyed your stay, in spite of - or is it despite - the normal slightly chaotic lead-up to a wedding. I'm not sure quite what would have been different without that happening though, or what your expectations were, but we do hope you come back another time. Regards, Fiona... More

Picturesque location. All the facilities were in near perfect condition. The lady who runs it is very helpful and can give you advice on good walks/restaurants nearby. Only drawback may be the location, as a good 25-30 minute drive from Lake Vrynwy.

This is a well presented property with excellent facilities and a very warm welcome. Some nice touches added to the overall experience of the stay - chilled water, range of teas, coffees, biscuits and sweets in the room. Breakfast choice was excellent and the DIY toast gave the opportunity to have a nice warm slice when you wanted it. The... More

Thanks for saying such nice things about your stay with us. What we've done is offer what we like to see in the rooms when we travel, so I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. We love the area and it is pretty quiet around here. You get used to the roads - they are wider than most streets with parked... More

We have stayed at Gwaenynog in the B&B before and thought the rooms were very modern, comfortable and the breakfast great however this time we decided to go up and camp. The campsite's facilities are very nice, clean & modern, Fiona even got us a pallet to pop our BBQ on so we could have it next to our tent... More

Would recommend for anyone wanting to escape for a few nights, relax and forget about life. The views and walks locally are worth the visit alone, the campsite is very clean and tidy with plenty of room to pitch. We took our dog who was allowed to roam, he loved it!!

For us, the perfect place to stay for our visit to Barmouth, Welshpool and Lake Vyrmwy. Very professional couple running this B&B, with an excellent eye for detail. Excellent food and very comfortable bed.

Thanks for your review of us - we're glad you enjoyed your break in these Welsh Hills. We think the shower is perfectly adequate, as to my amazement my 92 year old Dad has managed it, despite 2 hip replacements, but also it can accommodate me (Fiona!) and therefore is plenty big enough... ;-) Hope to see you again. I cannot praise this farmhouse enough, the service was second to none and the beds were just so comfortable and all set in a beautiful location in the welsh hills, food was great and they even catered for my wife who is coeliac. Another wonderful warm welcome as we got out of the car. Stayed in a different room to our last visit but still done to the same excellent standard and just as comfortable. Wonderful welsh farmhouse breakfast cooked to order (not pre cooked and heated up). Enjoy watching the wonderful range of birds feeding as you eat breakfast. 5 stars is... More
