We visited Costa Rica for the 5th time in August 2014 and have covered so far most of the parks, beaches and reserves. Luna Azul with their hosts, location, professional and warm service have stolen our hearts. Rolf and Andreas are warm, friendly, sophisticated and reliable. We needed to rent a car and although most of the rental companies were... More

We had 4 great days at Luna Azul at the end of a two-week trip around Costa Rica with the family. Rolf and Andreas, the hosts, were exceptional, and they make this place unique. The bungalows are very comfortable. We had a terrace with great views and we all loved the outdoor shower. The lounge area, reception and restaurant are... More

This is a fantastic boutique hotel with nicely appointed bungalows. The food is terrific and the owners Rolph and Andreas provide a wonderful personalized service; the property is quiet and a great place to relax. Also it is located fairly close to the beach and during this time is The Best place to stay to watch the turtles. Definitely will... More

We just returned from a one week stay at Luna Azul. I echo the comments of so many others who have offered praise for this wonderful hotel and its hosts, Rolf and Andreas (and dog Fino), and their staff (especially Roberto). The location of the hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the areas around Nosara, Ostional, and other villages/beaches in... More

We found this wonderful hotel by accident while driving to go surf and look for turtles on the Nicoya Peninsula. The owners, Rolf and Andreas, were wonderful and we spent two beautiful days enjoying their great rooms and excellent meals. I would highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to a future visit.

We had two "extra" days to fill on our family vacation to CR (kids 10, 8 and 6) so decided to book a room at Hotel Luna Azul. I almost cancelled the room and was fretting about the extra driving time it would take for us to get to and from the hotel. But, we decided to go anyways and... More

We must spent 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. We had a king room with a lovely balcony facing into the trees. We could enter the bathroom through the door from our room or from the balcony since it was open to the elements. Dinner was so good each night with many choices and breakfast was complete and also... More

My wife and I spent a weekend at Luna Azul and thoroughly enjoyed the best service, facilities, and food that we have experienced and we travel a lot. Rolf and Andreas are very knowledgeable about the area and attention to detail is evident in service and décor.

Arrival after a five hour by car trip (thought "rural" at best roads for the last two hours) was a blessing. Our hosts welcome us kindly and took us to our cabin (two rooms per cabin) where they explained us most of the things about the hotel. The rooms were big enough and each room has its own private terrace... More
