I left it 3 months to write the review as at the time I was surprised that I enjoyed the walk much more than I thought I would. Time has not dulled the quality of my experience. 4 days was going to be a big step over my previous waking experience (nil), and whilst I anticipated the awe inspiring wilderness,... More

This trip gives you the wildness in comfort with knowledgable guides who are fabulous cooks and with evenings in comfortable accommodation. This trip attracts like minded hikers who tend to enjoy each other's company, with the help of the guides. Dayna and Linton were the guides on my trip and could not be faulted. The scenery, flora and fauna are... More

My family and I (ages 61, 55 and 19) had high expectations of this experience based on comments from friends who had done it, but it turned out to exceed our expectations in almost every aspect. The wilderness is extraordinarily beautiful and varied; the huts were cosy, extremely comfortable and brilliantly designed as eco-accommodation (ensuring guests leave a minimal impact... More

I experienced this amazing National Park as part of a 6 day guided walk/hike with Cradle Mountain Huts. The whole experience was amazing and enhanced by the truly informed young guides ( Kim, Kia and Bert). The terrain changes constantly and at times you may feel like you are in the middle of a "Wilderness Calendar", moving across grassy moors,... More

We're very happy we hiked the Overland with Cradle Mountain Huts. The guides, Jen and Kenna, were well organised, hard working, engaging, patient, informative - and very good cooks! Taking the private hut option might be more expensive than the public huts, but for the price you get hot showers, a drying room, comfortable beds, excellent food and wine, and... More

I am a 53 year old male and a completely novice trekker having previously hiked to the local shops for a paper and a carton of milk! Before flying to Tasmania, I had to kit myself out with hiking boots (the Company recommends ankle high boots with good justification) and other hiking paraphernalia. We opted to do the shorter 4... Hi Manny G, Thanks for your review – it’s great to read that as a non experienced walker you still found the track to be really enjoyable. The first day is quite challenging, however, once you are up the top of Marion’s lookout and at Cradle Mountain it is certainly all worthwhile. It is lovely to walk into your hut... More

.... great people and exceptional food and wine in one of the most beautiful places on earth .... I'm not sure that life can get much better!!! The whole experience well and truly exceeded my expectations!! Our guides (Mitch & Alice) were simply amazing ... their knowledge and enthusiasm was remarkable. My only disappointment is that, this time around, I... More

Hi Angelo V, Wow that about sums it up! Thanks for such a great review – we really appreciate it. I love to read reviews when people come off the track as excited as I do. Mitch and Alice are certainly getting some great feedback from you group members and rightfully so – they are both excellent guides and we... More

Just completed an enthralling Cradle Mountain 4 day walk hosted / guided by the Tasmanian Walking Company, which exceeded all expectations. From the admin and support staff to the guides, these guys are organised and efficient. Their base is in the grounds of Quamby Estate approx. 30 minutes from Launceston, which is a great place to shower and clean up... More

This was the second time I have done the Cradle Mountain Huts Walk and I loved it more than last time and can't wait to do it again. The guides (Mitch and Alice) are amazing, the food is superb and the location is absolutely spectacular. Keep doing what you are doing!

Five nights in very comfortable huts with nothing heavier than a day pack. That's good enough but our guides also chilled our whites, decanted our reds and baked our daily bread, muffins and scones. In their off-cooking time they gave us expert guidance on flora, fauna (pademelons are so cute), geology, archeology and even some great history.

Hi KimRea, Thanks for taking the time to write a review for us. Sounds like you had a great walk and enjoyed many different aspects of walking the Overland Track with us. Our guides are certainly multi taskers and multi talented. I am pleased you enjoyed their cooking as well as their interpretation of the trail. We hope to see... More
