Staff very welcoming and helpful on our arrival. Room was clean and bed extremely comfortable. Very large shower and nice clean bathroom. Did have a few problems with TV which owner sorted out. nice rooms upstairs in a pub. Spotless comfy and the biggest portions of food I have ever seen.Down side could not get a phone signal for our mobiles.We stayed their to visit sons passing out in the nearby army camp. lovely pub setting but the food was only average and the service dreadful. We waited an hour for our Sunday roasts with no apology from the staff, we then waited 30 mins for 2 childrens ice creams! In the area often for work, and I like to stay here as the rooms are comfy and food and ale really nice. Great for a day at work when all you want in a quiet drink and a nice place to put your head down.
