Despite arriving later than anticipated and having had a very long and tortuous bike journey along the Wessex Ridgeway (but that's another story!) our hosts were extremely welcoming. They quickly changed our booking at the local restaurant (The Talbot ... I will be writing a glowing report about this place later) so that we had time to have showers etc... More

We stayed at the bed and breakfast for a Saturday evening, the accommodation was set up beautifully including the baby's travel cot. We had a lovely breakfast the following morning and nothing is too much trouble for the owners. Highly recommend as you will leave feeling thoroughly spoilt.

My husband and two little daughters enjoyed an all too brief stay at lovely at Whispering Chimneys on New Years Eve 2013. What a find! We were looking for a B&B near to a NYE party and stumbled across Whispering Chimneys on the internet. Located just a two minute walk from our party we struck gold! The B&B accommodation is... More

Really friendly welcome by them both and the room is in tip top condition, great continental breakfast kept in the fridge in the room. Big comfy bed and it looked like you could get a family in with a fold out bed. Its not in the village so its a little remote, but great area for walks.

The room was very clean and bright with some nice homely touches. There was some delicious homemade cake waiting for us on our arrival, and a wide selection of food available for the continental breakfast. As well as for friends or couples, this room would also be ideal for families as it is self contained and there is plenty of... More

We absolutely stayed our stay at Whispering Chimneys. What a beautiful place it is! It is surrounded by stunning countryside. The hosts made us feel very welcome, thank you! The BB is very clean, wonderfully decorated and offer all the amenities you could think of. Loved the idea of having the breakfast waiting prepared in the fridge for the next... More

What a beautiful place, the attention to detail ni the self contained annexe is wonderful. Our four year old daughter loved it ,especially the selection og books that had been left out for her to read during our stay . Good info about the local area ,and the continental breakfast is probably the best ive had, only thing i would... More

We decided to use this as stop over on the way home from Guernsey. What a lovely welcome and a lovely place. Probably the best B&B I have ever stayed in, period. We were really really pleased with this place. We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival and found the room to be perfect. We stayed with our four year old and everything had been thought of to make our stay relaxed and comfortable, including some childrens books for our little boy and some chocolate cupcakes on arrival, which... We had a very nice overnight stay in this quiet village. Our room was very comfortable, modern and clean and had its own entrance with everything you need. The breakfast was a very good quality continental and provided in the room with cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruits, meats, cheese, juices and toasts etc. A cooked breakfast could be requested and eaten...
