Excellent food. This is the 2nd time we have eaten here on collecting our son from Bangor uni. Cannot fault the service or fantastic pub grub.I had the soup which was homemade and BLT. Freshly made and very tasty. Our son had the steak and said it was excellent. Hubby had the goats cheese again and fishcakes. We will be... More

Stopped at the Gladstone for lunch on our way to Angelsey. The service was excellent, the lunch menu quite extensive and the food was superb. We started with great home made broccoli and Stilton soup, we're very happy with our mains and for pudding we had the best banana fritters EVER. Would recommend for food very highly.

My family had the honour of holding our family celebration meal at The Gladstone. Nothing was too much trouble for Adele, her brother and the team. All of our dietary needs were catered for, including the baby. They laid out the room perfectly too, this was such a nice touch. The family stayed in the rooms which are very comfortable... More

We stayed at The Gladstone for 2 nights in March after our wedding just up the coast in Deganwy. Similar to a previous reviewer, Booking.com had double booked our fourposter top bedroom for the second of the two nights - we were at first disappointed but Adele sprang into action to ensure that her honeymooners had a great stay -... We stayed at the Gladstone over Friday/Saturday. We booked a standard double and were allocated room 4. Nice view of the sea from the side of the hotel but we probably should have booked room 1 or 2 as we like a bigger bed than a standard double! The Gladstone is excellent. Lovely atmosphere and nice pub style. Nice selection... More

My wife Judy and I were fortunate to stay at the Gladstone for our anniversary weekend. It was a surprise from my son and his wife. Well as we travelled along the A55 we had wondered and hoped they had booked us somewhere of good standard, we were most defiantly not disappointed!! I always say never judge a book by... More

This is a friendly pub with lots of atmosphere and okay food. The guest rooms are adequately appointed, and the view from our window was fantastic, but the room was cold because the staff leaves windows open to air out the place and try to eliminate a strange smell that is always present. The bathroom is modern, but ours lacked... More

We haven't been inside this establishment for a few years, it used to be called The legend or the leg end by locals!!! It has been extensively refurbished in recent years and is much brighter and cleaner. We attended a 50th birthday party there and we were impressed with the changes. Our food was provided as part of the celebrations... More

The rooms are good, the food is fine, the staff are friendly and the beer is excellent. Unfortunately they don't start serving breakfast until 9am which is absolutely useless. I was told that it's because it's a 'tourist hotel' but even as a tourist I want to get out before 10:30. What is worse is that the cold (mainly cheese)... More
