Have just spent a couple of nights in room 1. A quick and easy check in, lacking only in being given the information that food stops at 6pm on a Sunday with the bar closing at 7pm !!!!!. If you are a resident who wants to go out after this time you use a fire exit door upstairs to come... More

We stayed 3 nights from Friday - Monday and could not fault most of the staff who were polite, professional and helpful, but one who never smiled and appeared grumpy has affected the score . We had the smallest double room as the rest of the hotel was booked but this was adequate, the bed was comfy, shower and bath were... More

The welcome was certainly not as warm as the board suggested outside!!! The entrance, through the smokers area is very poor and stale, leading into a barn like area with red plastic covered chairs. We ordered coffee and tea - very poor indeed. Dirty cups, very watery 'coffee' with little taste. We ordered the soup of the day - quite... More

Me and my partner stayed here for one evening in room 1 with sea views it was beautiful. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good with big portions good value for money.

My family had the honour of holding our family celebration meal at The Gladstone. Nothing was too much trouble for Adele, her brother and the team. All of our dietary needs were catered for, including the baby. They laid out the room perfectly too, this was such a nice touch. The family stayed in the rooms which are very comfortable... More

We stayed at The Gladstone for 2 nights in March after our wedding just up the coast in Deganwy. Similar to a previous reviewer, Booking.com had double booked our fourposter top bedroom for the second of the two nights - we were at first disappointed but Adele sprang into action to ensure that her honeymooners had a great stay -... We stayed at the Gladstone over Friday/Saturday. We booked a standard double and were allocated room 4. Nice view of the sea from the side of the hotel but we probably should have booked room 1 or 2 as we like a bigger bed than a standard double! The Gladstone is excellent. Lovely atmosphere and nice pub style. Nice selection... More

My wife Judy and I were fortunate to stay at the Gladstone for our anniversary weekend. It was a surprise from my son and his wife. Well as we travelled along the A55 we had wondered and hoped they had booked us somewhere of good standard, we were most defiantly not disappointed!! I always say never judge a book by... More

This is a friendly pub with lots of atmosphere and okay food. The guest rooms are adequately appointed, and the view from our window was fantastic, but the room was cold because the staff leaves windows open to air out the place and try to eliminate a strange smell that is always present. The bathroom is modern, but ours lacked... More

The rooms are good, the food is fine, the staff are friendly and the beer is excellent. Unfortunately they don't start serving breakfast until 9am which is absolutely useless. I was told that it's because it's a 'tourist hotel' but even as a tourist I want to get out before 10:30. What is worse is that the cold (mainly cheese)... More
