Tucked away in the woods, but close to wonderful Bodnant,Gardens and the Coast, Ian and Alan are the most welcoming of hosts. Personal names and preferences are remembered and quality matters throughout at Tir Y Coed - to the rooms decoration, and especially in matters of food and drink. We stayed two nights in the "Junior Suite" - not really... More

This little hotel is a real find! From arriving at the hotel we were greeted warmly and given the pick of the double rooms. The room we chose was lovely, clean and comfortable and nicely decorated with tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits! It had a lovely view over the gardens. The bathroom was clean with a stylish shower... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during our Snowdonia experience :) The room was quite small but comfortable and designed in a quirky cool way. The view outside our room was of the car park. So make sure you ask for a room with a view if that is what you like. Breakfast was very nice - cereals, fruit, pastries... More

Visiting in late July, we enjoyed the quiet woodland surroundings and interesting, very stylish décor of Tir y Coed. Ian and Alan were friendly and attentive hosts who provided excellent service and provided helpful information about the surrounding countryside and places to see. One important tip, only approach this hotel via the advised route, from the B5106. Other ancient tracks... More

We were fortunate enough to stay for 4 nights with Alan and Ian, and wished we could have stayed longer. We had room 4 which was a good size with beautiful views of the gardens and mountains. All the facilities in the hotel were first class, and Alan was certainly the host with the most! Breakfasts were delicious and no... More

This is an exceptionally wonderful place. The décor is amazing, the comfort excellent. The hosts are the best and the food is perfect. Sorry, but we cannot say enough good things about this place. The scenery around is breathtaking. We will be back.

Once again we have stayed at Tir y Coed and once again we have experienced nothing but the best - the hospitality, the friendliness, the attention to detail, not to mention the beautifully appointed lounge and restaurant, the magnificent gardens, superb food with the finest local produce and splendid rooms. Alan and Ian are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too... More

My partner and I have just returned from an overnight stay at this excellent hotel. The hotel is situated in a tiny village called Rowan which is about 15 mins drive from Betws y Coed down a long gravel driveway. The hotel has been converted from a large (I would say) Victorian residence. We were met at the door by... More

My husband and I have just returned from a whirlwind tour of Wales. Tir y Coed was one of the best choices we made. It has wonderful ambiance and after touring all day it was so relaxing to stay at this house. We had an afternoon drink in the village pub and then prepared ourselves for the dinner at Tir... More
