Just got back from a night's stay at Tir Y Coed and just wish it could have been longer. From the moment you step in you just feel so welcome, we were greeted by Ian and shown to our room. The room was spotless and absolutely gorgeous, with lovely views over the hotels garden and across to the mountains. It... More

Have stayed at Tir y Coed twice now and both times felt very welcome. Ian and Alan have a beautiful home which is warm and welcoming. Really chilled out..could have stayed all week but on both times was unfortunately only 3 nights. Food great...both times have stayed b, b and evening meal. Well worth it as you can come back... This superior B&B was in a rural location, yet there was a Post Office and newsagents just 100 yards away; the bed was comfortable and breakfast excellent. The hosts Ian and Alan were very welcoming and helpful, they were a mine of local knowledge and posted our mobile phone charger (that we had left behind) back to us without us... More

This is a B&B and you need to understand that--it is not an amenity-rich, open-all-hours hotel. Also, if you have children, be aware that Tyr y Coed doesn't accommodate them and while that may be bad luck for you it's great news for those of us who have raised our own and don't want to be bothered by yours. Now... More

When Alan or Ian open the door to the country house you are made to feel like special houseguests. The house is immaculate, comfortable and welcoming. The bed was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food was unassuming and well delivered. Breakfast meet every expectation. We wont consider any other hotel when we are next in beautiful north Wales. Thanks... More

We had a lovely stay. It was quiet and relaxing and the hosts were very pleasant. They were friendly without being intrusive. Breakfasts were nice and served in an attractive room with super views. Our room was good with pretty views but it was a bit dusty.

From the moment we were greeted, Ian and Alan made us feel more than welcome, remembering our names and being most hospitable. Tucked away in its own grounds, Tyr y Coed is peaceful (and no children) and very well maintained. We had a junior suite, very comfortable and spacious. The bar us very well stocked and our meals, both breakfast... More

Tucked away in the woods, but close to wonderful Bodnant,Gardens and the Coast, Ian and Alan are the most welcoming of hosts. Personal names and preferences are remembered and quality matters throughout at Tir Y Coed - to the rooms decoration, and especially in matters of food and drink. We stayed two nights in the "Junior Suite" - not really... More

This little hotel is a real find! From arriving at the hotel we were greeted warmly and given the pick of the double rooms. The room we chose was lovely, clean and comfortable and nicely decorated with tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits! It had a lovely view over the gardens. The bathroom was clean with a stylish shower... More
