The staff here were very helpful and they tried hard to entertain and offer good service - far better service than some 4/5* Hotels in Cuba - but overall I would have rather stayed in a Casa, and wouldn't darken its doors if all inclusive at 25 CUC's. Food dire - struggled to find anything edible Drinks - plentiful but... More

I can honestly say that I have never stayed in a place quite like this hotel. It is an all inclusive holiday "resort" but you get what you pay for - and it is cheap place to stay. Food is basic but plentiful and the free cocktails were just drinkable (stick to spirits and soft drinks). It was all happening... More

Well, on the first sight this hotel might seem as an abandoned recreational resort... but for the other side... it is, indeed! :) Nevertheless, there were a few small details for which I would come back again. First? The service. Well, you know.. this is not a 5* luxurious resort and if you travelled around Cuba you probably know that... More

I have stayed here several times, the food isn't Michelin star, but that’s not what you are paying for and there is always something you can have. It’s all inclusive, so you can eat and drink as much as you like . There are two pools, a large one close to the restaurant with a smaller located in a quiet... More

This hotel cannot be recommended – and the price is too high. We came and the check in took a while as there was only one receptionist and too many guests. We were given a paper which stated the information regarding thoe hotel and area – however it was in the native language and they didn’t have a copy in... More

I stayed at this resort Feb 2- Feb 14, 2014. I have not seen any updated reviews since August 2013-. First- I chose this only based on price. This is my first time in Matanzas and I am comparing this hotel to other 2.5 start resorts I regularly stay at in Cuba. Price was $ 798.00 all inclusive for 2... More

I've debated for a little while about writing about this resort, but finally decided I should write something. We'd decided to go to Playa giron to see the museum, do some diving and just check out the area that is so famous. On arrival we were happy the layout of the resort. Rather than just a big building with a... More

I have stayed in this hotel on no less than 4 separate occasions - so I suppose that I am rather biased. I think that it is a bit like marmite - you either like it or you don't. The food is not great although it is plentiful, but there is always an ample supply of drink. The accommodation is... More

If you want to feel like you have a small simple house by the beach and spent some days living slow exploring this part of Cuba, then this is a place for you.It is an all inclusive hotel but it does not look like that. The hotel seems like a village consisting of one floor houses having quite a distance between them.The... This place lets you see the real Cuba - although it is a 2(+) hour drive from Varadero, the drive is interesting, and it gets you out of the tourist ghetto. The food was fine - more fish than a 3 star in Varadero, and lots of meat for meat lovers. The coastline is rocky, but there is a beach... More
