We stayed here on a secret escapes voucher, and absolutely loved it. The room was cosy, tastefully decorated with everything you could ask for. We also had a 3 course meal, which was delicious! The banoffee pie was incredible! all the portions was massive, and you could tell they used quality ingredients, for example, I had smoked salmon to start,... More

My sister and I took our parents for a Christmas present to the Crown Inn. We booked via secret escapes for £125 for a Saturday night stay which included three course meal and breakfast. The rooms were lovely and cosy and we loved the country atmosphere. We stayed in rooms 1&2. Just a couple of constructive criticisms- we had a... More

We booked through 'Secret Escapes' and paid £100 for three courses and bed and breakfast. It was a complete steal. The food was delicious, we had South African sausage to start (something refreshingly different) and the Malay lamb for main which was excellent. My husband had the chicken which he enjoyed. We chose the cheese board and banoffee pie for... More

All the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating in this lovely country pub. There's plenty of parking at the rear, interesting decor inside and an ample wine list, if only the food could match up. We came away a little disappointed by the food, it really wasn't terrible, but could definitely have been better. My own Tournedos Rossini (£23 main)... More

Booked this through Travelzoo so got a great deal £99 for Dinner Bed and Breakfast for 2. The Room is well appointed and large. Clean with all the mod cons. The best however was the restaurant. Not cheap but good quality food at a fair price. Starters about £7 and mains generally around £15. They do some interesting South African... More

Had a business lunch at The Crown Inn this week and came away disappointed. This pub is lovely looking inside and out and has an open'ish kitchen so I was really hoping for good things. I ordered a duck main course and to be honest it was a bit of a disaster. My colleague ordered the salmon and it didn't... More

Having stayed here before, we were keen to introduce our friends to this cute place who were equally as enamoured. Beautiful accommodation, spotlessly clean and loving the vintage styling. Fabulous hospitality - we were so well looked after. Dinner was gorgeous - the best ribeye steak I've had in ages! Breakfast was great and the tea/coffee just kept flowing. Loved... More

We stayed here just for the one night soon after Christmas as a Birthday present from of our Son. We arrived around lunch time to be greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who informed us of what the package included, also mentioning that a table in the restaurant had been reserved for us that evening at 7:30. Our room would... More

I was taken to the Crown by my 92 year old brother in law who had been recently and he wanted to 'show it off to me' I can quite understand why. We were looked after by a charming young South African chap. All our food was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed all three courses. Would love to spend the night there... More
