Really good meal. I had beef peppered salad which was lovely I would absolutely recommend it had dolcelatta in it so not the healthy option but I will have again. For dessert we had the sharing option again perfect. The service was very good and a nice atmosphere. I would recommend

Had already booked a trip to Mappledurham house and needed somewhere to stay in the area. I found this gem on Secret Escapes. We received a warm welcome, and were escorted to the room which is a lovely touch. The building is so quaint, really quirky what you would expect from a 16th century building. Our room was in a... I have visited The Crown over many years, and, following a longish break, decided recently to visit with some friends. I'm pleased to say that they have succeeded not only in maintaining their previously high standards but have excelled in terms of quality and service. The food is excellent with generous portions. They hand-cut chips are highly recommended, as are... More

Booked a night via Secret Escapes for my husbands birthday as our daughter and grandchildren live close by so it was an ideal location to have some us time and grandchildren time. What a find. Stayed in a room in a separate block which is ideal as you're away from the hustle and bustle. The inn is beautifully done out... More

Just AMAZING! One of the best 'pubs' i've ever been in, with the added bonus of having somewhere wonderful to stay. I have stayed pretty much everywhere in the area. This place is light years above anywhere else in terms of quality, service and value. The food in the pub was fantastic, but the individual rooms (lodge style) made it... More

We love The Crown and decided to take our family for a Sunday Lunch. We had our little dog with us so sat outside on the lovely patio. We had lovely hot food, delivered to our table with a smile. The bar staff were warm and attentive. I have to say about the Crown, we eat here every time we... More

We are often in the Henley area needing overnight accommodation. We have tried practically every hotel and although some are excellent (with prices to match) others are not. Having spent a particularly noisy and uncomfortable night at a nearby pub we were recommended The Crown at Playhatch by a friend of the owners. I must have driven past this place... More

My wife and I enjoyed an overnight stay on Sunday and can not praise the service and accommodation we enjoyed. We were welcomed on arrival and take to our room that was situated in a quiet area behind the Inn. The room was very comfortable and furnished to a very high standard......the walk-in shower was fantastic !!! We enjoyed an... More

We visit the crown quite regularly and always have a lovely meal. The staff are friendly and helpful although can be slow service for a normal meal. Today we had the Sunday carvery which I luckily booked online the day before as it was fully booked when we arrived. I had the beef and lamb which was perfectly cooked, accompanied... More

We visit the crown a few times a year and always have a lovely time, friendly helpful staff, nice food, good drinks selection. Today we popped up last minute and though the restaurant was fully booked we sat in the garden and had the carvery, the meat was perfectly cooked, accompanied by a nice selection of veg with lovely big,...
