Restaurant was not busy only two tables taken. It was sad to see as this was a really nice restaurant with lovely food that used to be popular that seems to be hit by the recession. The portions of food were really large . We had beefburgers were you could chose from a number of toppings. The presentation could have been... More

This could be a cracking pub/restaurant but by heck it needs some money throwing at it, the whole place is very tired, the Curzon is in a great location but needs some renovation/internal decor work. However the place still looks good from outside, so with some good food it could be turned around, we stopped at lunchtime and ordered burgers,... More

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago for two nights. Welcomed by John who showed us to our rooms and gave us information. Rooms are small but adequate, lovely fluffy towels and white bed linen. Unfortunately my room (7) wasn't particularly clean, lots of cobwebs and the shower room floor was grimy. Although bed was comfortable, be warned, this hotel... More

My husband & I visited the pub today to see if it had improved. I'm sad to say it hasn't! For a pub sat in a nice location in a pretty little village, I feel it could do so much better, especially with a good Chef and a better menu. A pint of Guinness and a glass of wine £6.70.... More

We went a 7.30 on a Saturday evening, the place was deserted, not even a drinker in the bar! The menu was sparse and the restaurant, musty, cold and uninviting. Didnt eat, left to go elsewhere, strange how most country pubs were fully booked and this one was completely empty!!

Easy to find, plenty of parking, and a very friendly greeting on arrival. I had booked a single room with en suite and although very small it was warm and perfectly adequate. Very helpful lad carried my case to my room and explained everything, clearly nothing was too much trouble. If there was nothing on telly (flat screen plenty of... More

Another Groupon Deal - the enticing photo of a salmon main course on the Groupon advert looked very impressive so we booked our places - looking forward to a really enjoyable lunch - what we recieved instead was an empty, cold restaraunt with a "Lunch" menu whose highlight was a Burger! (and that took 35mins to arrive) There has to... More
