Stayed at Sheepy Lodge for one night and cannot say enough about the place. We had a very warm welcome and were shown to The Lord Nelson room which was beautiful. All the facilities were top class. The house is set in some fantastic gardens. A great breakfast topped off a fantastic stay, highly recommend.

Just spent this week there, had the best time ever. Just what I was looking for for a wile. A beautiful property, very well decorated, the service is 5 stars. The garden and the pull area, fantastic. The room I've stayed in was very nice, a king size bed so comfortable that felt like my cosy nest. I definitely want... More

I stayed here on my own as we had a last minute dog sitting issue so Mr M had to stay at home. Wow - what a place! I had the Sir Walter Raleigh room and it was beautiful. Bed very comfy. Bathroom (stunning) was literally next door. My breakfast was lovely and Julie the owner and I had a... More

Beautifully restored country house in pleasant grounds. Rooms are spacious and very well appointed and the beds and linens are top drawer. Enjoyed the very well cooked breakfast made with the finest ingredients - excellent coffee too. This is one worth returning to and is good value for money.

I have been staying here regularly for the past 2 months due to work commitments and I must say that this is the best B&B I have stayed in. From the welcoming hostess Julie to the fabulous rooms and the superbly maintained grounds this by far the most "homely" B&B in the area. They go the extra mile here from... More

Fantastic atmosphere, everyone is so welcoming, brilliant rooms and amazing breakfast on offer. Very family friendly with a park at the bottom of the garden and friendly dogs roam free for anyone who's a lover of animals. As well as a family break it's a great place for any couples just as a get away. Will definitely be going back.... More

A beautiful and tastefully furnished home in lovely surroundings. My husband and I stayed the night after a wedding... Julie kindly readied our room early to allow us to get ready, (and offered us a lie in to recover from late nights with a new baby!) Great hospitality and really comfy beds. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and/or return

A very pleasant stay. Julie was most welcoming and the room exceeded all expectations. Good internet. Bed was very comfy. A very quiet undisturbed night. Breakfast was great. Another B&B to add to my diamond list of places to stay. Thanks Julie for an exception stay.

Sounds complicated but not -try it ! Have 2 frying pans with about 1 inch of boiling water in each. Place the whole eggs in the first pan for PRECISELY 20 seconds, rolling a little with the finger to evenly start the whites to just begin to set. Remove the whole eggs and crack carefully into separate shallow dishes / saucers.... More

My wife and I stayed here on a stopover between a wedding and visiting friends. What a wonderful alternative to chain hotels! The owner was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The en-suite room delightfully furnished and we enjoyed an excellent continental breakfast on the following morning - after a wonderful stroll around the magnificent grounds. Highly recommended!
