We spent a few nights at Town Barton last October and enjoyed it so much that we did the same again this year. The rooms at Town Barton are large, comfortable and warm, and even when other guests are staying, there is very little noise from outside or inside. Rooms have their own fridge, kettle and toaster with a great... More

We have stayed here many times over the years. It is owned by the gentleman who used to own the Nobody Inn, which is about 200 yds away. He still has arrangements with the pub whereby he will make a booking in the pub for English breakfast or dinner. Access to the pub is via the road or through a... More

We stayed here overnight for a friends birthday, as we were dining at The Nobody Inn. This place was fabulous, we were lucky to have the four poster bed, which was supremely comfortable. Could not fault the place for attention to detail, my only complaint was they did not offer a cooked breakfast, however we ate breakfast at the inn... More

The Town Baton is a very comfortable house that was formerly a Rectory. Beatifully mantained with large rooms. Nick is the perfect host. He arranged a car and driver for us for for an excellent all day tour of Dartmoor. Of course it is next door to my favourite restaurant in the world, The Nobody Inn.

We stayed here 3 nights on a short break to Devon, but ended up here by chance. We'd discovered the Nobody Inn online but it was full and so were recommended here instead. Now I have no issue with the Nobody Inn, in fact I LOVED it - fantastic food, excellent pub and a lovely place - but Town Barton... More

We stayed one night here with our six year old. It is a perfect location for us near friends. We were made to feel very welcome and our room was very good. We would recommend and look forward to staying again.

Went to the exhibition biennial Doddiscombsleigh Art Exhibition and stayed overnight at this B&B on the recommendation of the adjacent Nobody Inn. Basically the old manor house with the most recent addition being (we think) Georgian. Perfect quiet and rural setting, ideal if you like being left to yourself - affable host Nick did precisely that. Room 5 was HUGE,... More

We stayed here more by chance in that the neighbouring Nobody's Inn was full. The house is privately owned and in beautiful surroundings. Our Room (No 6) had a view of the moors and the Church, tastefully decorated with "teapig" teabags and ground coffee along with fresh milk and a fridge. Even a glass of sherry on arrival. A lovely... Beautiful old manor house that is beautifully presented. The room we had was large and beautifully decorated. We tried both the breakfast at the Nobody Inn, which is a short walk from Town Barton, and the continental, both of which we excellent. Town Barton is not the easiest place to get to as the roads are very narrow and windy... More
