We did a counter clockwise tour of the Gaspe this summer and this was our first stop. I had scoured the reviews of hotels within the first 50 miles from Campbellton and was hard pressed to find anything outstanding. During my stay in the lovely little town of Maria in Gaspésie, Québec, I stayed in the “Auberge du Marchand”. A small comfortable hotel with friendly staff who go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. I stayed in a comfortable room with view on the bay

The "suite" is right next to the front desk, by the restaurant's bathroom and the only window is right on the main road. When we walked in the room... More

The self catering facilities were great and the staff very welcoming. There is an IGA supermarket just across the car park. The double bed and room were a bit on the small side.
