We staid here for one night and visited the Udwalawa national park. Room and bath room were clean. The place is very quiet close by a lake. Food was good, good rice and curry, good breakfast. Nimal was very friendly. It paid 3000Rs which is a very fair price. Safari was a little bit expensive but with lots of elephants.

We stayed for one night. The worst night during our trip to Sri Lanka. The room, even though we did not use any light in it - only our flashlights - was full with mosquitos. Not even the mosquito net helped! The host told us the breakfast will be served at 7:30. It was served well past 8. Cost of... More

We stayed here on our Sri Lanka Round Trip and had 2 nice weeks. The owner's wife prepared excellent Sri Lankan Breakfast and Dinner, you get a mosquito net and the room was very clean and you can get your clothes washed here. We were a bit afraid of sharing the bathroom with another couple. But we were there all... More

Service: We told the staff of this Guesthouse in advance, that we will arrive at 3 pm. But we had to wait 3 and a half hours (!) until anybody with keys came and let us into to room. The boss had sended in the meantime an safari driver, who tried to persuade us to a safari in the afternoon... More

The accommodation wasn't great, but not tfairly sparse lighting. The shower didn't really work particularly well either, with minimal pressure or hot water. On the plus side, it's a nice peaceful location, the hosts are very kind, they serve lovely dinner and breakfast, and the safari to Uda Walawe (5000Rs for a jeep, half day) was great with a nice... Nimal was a good host and was justly proud of the traditional Sri Lankan cuisine he provided. Birdwatching from the veranda occupied a day in it's own right. The spacious front room had mos net and fan. Quiet peaceful location, well away from the main road. The full day safari to Uda Walawe, organised by Nimal, was the wildlife highlight... More

We had the pleasure to stay two nights in this nice family-run homestay. The owners are welcoming though discreet. The place itself is very "feel-good", clean and well-kept. The architecture of the house has a mediteranean flavour. The lake is a just few steps away with a lot of waterbuffalos. But the incredible feature of this place was the food... More

We stayed two nights at this place and we really enjoyed it. The family is so friendly and we were treated as friends. The Food was delicious and the room is spacious and clean. The guest house only has two rooms and a shared bathroom. They organise trips into the Udawalawa National Park. The guest house is located directly at... More

My wife and I have just returned from a short trip in Sri Lanka. We wanted a flavour of the country; so we watched the cricket, went to the beach and took in a national park. When visiting Uda Wallawa national park, we found Lake View Lanka guest house. It's a small, family run guest house serving fantastic food and... More
