The Chatham Islands are very islolated, 800 km ott the coast of New Zealnd with nothing but water between. Population a little over 600 souls. The flight from Wellington will cost around $1,100 nz return. Very expensive. There is no choice but Chatham Air. No ship/ferry. What a find! This place is a haven of peacefulness - wonderful fresh food and gracious hosts made for a memorable time. Highly recommended. In fact, this is the only place to stay on the Chathams if you want peace, rest and relaxation and great dining More
