We stayed one night here and were the only guests so attentive service! Unfortunately all the awnings had been taken away and the pool was not in service as it was the end of the season. The room was lovely and the food was good. I would not have missed the experience of staying in such an amazing location.

Set in the large Nagaur Fort, this small hotel is housed within the part of the fort originally meant for the Royal women. Each room is beautifully done up, immaculate bathrooms, very well kept rooms. A very surprising find in the middle of nowhere.

What an amazing experience to stay overnight in the villa of one of a maharaja's many wives! Our room was tastefully but simply restored, though its approach via a stone staircase was a bit stark. The pool area and restaurant were delightful, the staff were very helpful. The food was good, but not outstanding. Our guided tour of the rest... More

At first we thought the cost for the Sufi music festival, which is all-inclusive for the three days, was far too high. However, we decided it looked so good that we booked for the 2013 event. And it proved so wonderful, a really magical experience, that we returned in 2014 – and were equally delighted. In 2013 we stayed in... More

During our trip in Rajasthan, we booked a two days stay in this surprising place. A hotel in the middle of a fort, each room being an appartment of a maharadja's wife. The intimicy of the room, the magnificent pool, the extreme kindness of the staff, the museum part, ... everything is simply wonderful. We were offered afternoon high tea... More

I'm pretty sure that in all my travels I've never stayed anywhere as lovely as this hotel. It is MAGNIFICENT! Deep within the old fort walls is the most beguiling and evocative of hotels oozing with style and class. Our room was beautifully appointed with top quality linen and a bathroom form the pages of an interior design magazine. Our... More

Last year and this year, my friends and I broke our 21-day Rajasthan stay with a fabulous 3-day rest-stop at the Ranvas Hotel. It is beyond enchanted and restful; like stepping back into another century but with all the modern conveniences (except TV, thank goodness!) Each room was a queen's apartment, beautiful and authentically restored. We stayed in the apartment... More

If you are looking for a magical place that conjures all the romance and atmosphere of Moghul emperors, the Ranvas at Nagaur has it all. This was definitely the best hotel where we stayed during our 15 days in Rajasthan and provided excellent accommodation, food and ambiance second to none! Imagine old carved stones dating back to the 11th century, moghul architecture... More
