Had a lovely relaxing after first day on the track. Our host was most helpful and friendly, cooking us a delicious meal of blue cod. Deliciously fresh! Beds very comfortable, and the rooms were roomy. Thanks for a lovely evening, a shame we didn't know you did reflexology!! Have a relaxing winter 😊

We stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. We had a sweet room that overlooked the water with a porch that we could sit on and look at the inlet. The host Colleen was wonderfully nice and even made us a home-cooked dinner that was delicious. She also prepared us breakfast and lunch. We very much appreciated her... More

After traipsing the first leg of the Queen Charlotte track from Ship Cove, our overnight stay with Colleen and Peter was a very pleasant wind down and set us up nicely to continue the next day. The accommodation was all a small lodging should be, clean and tidy with a very friendly welcome, good food and plenty of it. Our... More

We stayed here after our first day walking the track. We got a friendly greeting from Colleen and were impressed with the room which had a great deck. Deck overlooked a grassed courtyard with awesome views. Colleen is a great cook and we had a delicious chicken dinner followed by a massive brownie. Beer and wine available too. Comfortable bed,... We stayed at Cnoc na Lear as part of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. Our hosts were warm, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time, which even included taking us fishing when the weather permitted. Having lived abroad for many years, our stay with Pete and Colleen made us fall back... More

Warm welcome from Colleen and Peter. The room is very comfortable. Warm, clean, relaxing and comfortable and this is just what you need when you are on the Queen Charlotte Track. Colleen and Peter are not intrusive, they give you your own space to enjoy the scenery and the moment of respite between two hikes. Colleen's food was the cherry... More

Cnoc na Lear is a welcome respite on the Queen Charlotte track and Colleen is queen. Colleen manages to imbue a personal touch without suffocation. She provided care (for a sprained knee) and good food (hearts are won with scones). The Marlborough Sounds really are exquisitely beautiful and Cnoc na Lear is nestled within situated at the Endeavour Inlet and... More

A friend of mine and I stayed here after the first leg of the Queen Charlotte Track. Colleen warmly greeted us upon arrival with warm muffins and introduced us to our room. We had two single beds and a small kitchenette equipped with small fridge, range, microwave, electric tea kettle, and toaster. The bathroom was well proportioned with a shower,... More

Flora and fauna reminiscent of South Pacific island. Bach (beach house) has homely charm. Hospitality brilliant. Hosts Colleen and Peter can't do enough for you without being intrusive. Evening meals cooked by Colleen have a stylish modern twist and are to die for. Excellent wines. If you are all for sparkling marble, stainless steel and spa pools, this probabaly isn't for... More

Spent a day relaxing and went fishing with Peter and Collen for the nights blue cod dinner. Wonderful meals with fresh produce (including blue cod). Highly reccommend this as a one night stop...
