We stayed at this hotel for a night in May and it was fantastic. The view at night looking over to the harbour bridge is magical. Love the large rooms. Everything clean and tidy and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Slept great on a really good mattress. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

Stay in a modern and beautiful room for the same money of any other common motel in NZ. And if you need to go to town walk 5min and catch the ferry! It sure beats any other transport. Also free WiFi and parking.

Picked this place because it was not in the middle of the city. Enjoyed the free return ferry ride to the city - took 10 minutes. The walk to the marina was 5 minutes. Spacious, well appointed, clean rooms (with a great view!) The service from the staff at the Oaks was outstanding. In particular Brian and Sumit - nothing was a problem, service with a smile and very accommodating! Will definitely be back.

Perfect in every way. Location, helpful staff, well-equipped rooms, all mod cons, all the bells and whistles you need, quality, quiet, peaceful, gorgeous view, brekky included. Couldn't fault it. It's a SIX star property! Will definitely be back. There's also a free ferry across the harbour to the city. Short 5 min walk to ferry dock.

People have perhaps come to expect a minibar in their room, but this was insane: bottles of alcohol, soft drinks, even aspirins, all on a large tray on the kitchen work surface when we entered the room.
