This was my local pub when rented a property from owners in the village. Used to eat often at the pub . Can be busy but worth the wait. The comments about unfriendly landlord are daft. If busy you are informed if the fact. Food always home cooked and portions very large. Good value for money and friendly waiting staff.... More

As a party of 11 we drove from hull on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was welcoming by the team and locals. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We will most definitely be coming here again it was a perfect family Sunday lunch.

Best value Sunday dinner in England!! More beef than on an actual cow!! Locals were friendly and Ian behind the bar was lovely ! Place spotless which is nice for somewhere still full of character. Will be returning very soon but will bring family

Having eaten there on an earlier visit we used it as base for a couple of nights. The room was spotless, the food was very good and the choice of beers was great. A return visit will follow, perhaps when the frost gives way to sun.

We visited on a lunch time and were really pleased at the quality of the food, the great service and all in a wonderful setting. Whatever request we put to the staff they were able to accommodate us. Can't wait to go back on a day when we can sit outside in the warmth!

A very cosy, welcoming inn with an ambient atmosphere and friendly staff. Delicious food! Bishop Wilton is a beautiful (and v. small) village with idyllic surroundings. We stayed there on our Way of the Roses cycling trip, instead of going to Pocklington (about 4.5m away) and were extremely satisfied with our choice.

Stopped for a meal in this village Inn on the day I lost my mobile phone and as well as a great meal the super friendly staff offered me use of the pub phone to contact my provider and make other arrangements. Just great of them, the food came in huge quantities and all very fresh and so different to... More

We stayed in a near by bed and breakfast and were recommended The Fleece Inn to have our evening meal. We were not disappointed. Initially the prices looked a little steep but once we had eaten our meals felt they were well worth it. Fresh food, very hot, very tasty and well presented. The service was good and staff attentive.... More
