We were not only greeted, but shown to our room. The accommodations were great and had the finer touches to make you feel special. We enjoyed breakfast immensely, and service was superb. Close to all the attractions we were interested in seeing on this trip.

We stayed for one night in March as part of a wedding anniversary trip. The husband & wife owners were welcoming and charming, the hotel itself is clean and in a beautiful rural location with lovely walks nearby the Canigou. There was no a la carte as it was out of season however we really enjoyed the set evening meal.... More

Lovely friendly hotel, small, a lot of thought gone into the decor, probably by the lady of the house and the place felt homely and cared for. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, much better than the usual French coffee/juice/bread and croissant. Good home cooking for the evening meal and really enjoyed the two nights we spent there.

We stayed here for a repeat visit to the Abbaye de St Martin de Canigou and were overwhelmed by the hospitality we received. The hotel offers basic rooms, great food, good wines and a welcome with a big heart - well worth a detour! What's more, during our stay our younger son fell suddenly ill and even though it was... The hotel is under new ownership since August/September last year. We were the only guests for two days and the new owners, a Belgian couple, treated us very well. The wife did all the cooking for our half-pension and her meals, though not regional cuisine, were excellent. Only minor quibbles are that the shower needs to be hand held.

We absolutely adored this charming place. Firstly, Casteil the hamlet in which it's located is lovely and peaceful. You can walk upto the Abbaye of St Martin or down to the larger village of Vernet le Bains. The hosts Fabienne and Bernard could not have done more to make us feel welcome. (on the email though she seemed a little... More

This is a beautiful small hotel in an incredible setting in the mountains. Rooms are spare but tasteful, and all decor is high quality. The demipensione dinner was very tasty. The staff are all very kind and helpful.
