A couple of hours journey from our Yorkshire home, the Swan made the journey worth it. It is a great location, peaceful and easy to get to. Me and my girlfriend went away for a 2 night stay. Such friendly staff, amazing food ( even if not a massive choice) and I will say the chef excelled in presentation and... More

We recently stayed on a deal to celebrate a friends birthday and we were very happy with the inn and all it offered. The hosting was friendly and efficient , the rooms were well decorated and very clean. The food was of a very high standard and there was a plentiful choice.Continental breakfast was included in the room rate with... More

We visited the White Swan for a meal with friends last night and were surprised to find the restaurant empty - however the food was excellent with very attentive service and reasonable prices. We can only assume that there is not enough advertising to ensure that this little gem gets the custom that it deserves. We will definitely be back... More

Stayed here previously see my other review....due to events on previous visit we were told that there was going to be a big Halloween Fancy Dress Party so we were promised and booked "the best rooms in the place" for this visit. The Groupon deal from before would be honoured for the six of us, £89.50 per couple for the... More

If you asked me as an English ex pat, who returns home for a fix every few years, what is the most noticeable change in the English landscape it would undoubtedly be the demise of the traditional English Pub. Therefore, it's refreshing to find a jewel in the crown like The White Swan in Harringworth which had apparently been closed... More

Attended on Friday lunch time to find the pub and restaurant completely empty. The venue has a typical gastro pub experience and is very well appointed. The lunchtime special of two courses for £10 is great value for money. Each course was a delight to both the eye and the taste buds. We had the white bait, pate and Thai... More

The White Swan is a traditional pub in a small village to the south east of Uppingham. The room was comfortable and the food and service excellent. The only down side was that I had to go to Uppingham to buy a newspaper in the morning - this is hardly the proprietors' fault!
