Driving up to the Tyrol Hotel from the Busan area was a delight. Parts of Korea we had not seen and the scenery as we neared the resort was fabulous in the autumnal colours. Driving up the hotel through the village and up the driveway gave a very good view of the mountain and hills that for the backdrop to... More

I was here for a conference and found this place to be interesting. It was obviously built to cater to the skiing crowd but my purpose was only to use it as a hotel as I was here strictly for business. I had mixed feeling about this place as there were some things I liked and things I did not.... More

The resort is built in Austria Tirol style, love the room and really great experience at the resort, beautiful and comfortable bed. Only cons is the continental breakfast is considered too small and not filling. Other than that no complain :p

Travelled to Muju resort over Christmas 2012 and stayed at Kookmin Hotel. A couple of tips to travelers who plan to go to Muju Resort: 1. Getting there - Best option is to take bus from Seoul Nambu Bus Terminal to Muju City (about 2.5hrs, about 13k won) then switch to Resort Shuttle Bus (free). If you miss the Shuttle,... More

A large ski resort hotel with spacious rooms, good food and excellent service in an unspoilt natural setting. There are many good restaurants in close proximity and many things to do in the area whatever the season. If you are looking for somewhere where the air is as pure as can be, this is the place to come. No swimming... More

The hotel itself is nowhere near a 5 star standard and is very expensive to stay in, but hey it is RIGHT on the ski slopes and there is basically nothing wrong with the hotel - just not what you expect. It is faux Austrian Tirol and that in itself is amusing seeing Koreans in Dirndles etc. Breakfast buffet is... More
