we stayed in a waterfront spa cabin which was really nice - the lake was literally just over the balcony! TV reception was pretty poor but it was really crappy weather the night we were there - absolutely poured with rain!! ordered an awesome wood fired pizza which we took back to our cabin, followed by a relaxing swim in... Beautiful location, quaint little Swiss village located next door. The Hotel was average, a little bit dated the room was fine, clean and spacious. Only downside the safe didn't work so couldn't leave anything in the room when we went out and even though they did try to fix it but couldn't (had no idea what she was doing). There... More

Miss advertised. All activities on site require additional payments. In need of renovating. No house keeping. Not enough bedding for all beds for the number of people booked. No cleaning products to clean kitchen. Dinnerware etc has only been cleaned by previous guest, I'm not sure what with. Very disappointing.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. It is the perfect resort for a family. It has a great Mini Golf course, lots of birds to feed, great playground for the little ones and so much more. There is also a full sized golf course. It is only about 10 minutes from Launceston. We will be back!

Highly recommend Grindlewald, there is so much to keep you entertained, the food is great, & staff are wonderful & very helpful. The rooms are lovely & clean with everything you need for a long stay. The heated pool & spa area is amazing. They have great wedding packages as I got married there recently

stayed in lake side king spa villas . They look like shoe boxes beside a lake but overall good . spa good size and relaxing. It had a little deck which was good for toddler to play on. Apart from pool, ship and swings which were in need of face lift other activities cost extra. Bed creaked but was comfortable plenty... More

This place is an excellent place to go with family and friends. The rooms are moderately priced and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and once you arrive you should take a  tour around the resort to check what it has to offer. There is plenty of room-side parking for cars and trailers. There is a heated indoor pool with... More

We enjoyed 5 nights here between Christmas and New Year whilst we did a heap of touristy things in the area.(vineyard visits, gourmet dining, trout fishing, day tours etc) It was the perfect base for all our planned activities. We had a fabulous lake and golf course view from the window of our room. The room, although not huge, was plenty... More

Our first trip to Tasmania and we had wonderful time. The highlight of our trip was the 2 days we stayed at the Tamar Valley Resort. This place was truely magnificent our childern enjoyed the many activities available, especially the jumping pillow and mini golf. While our children busy entertaining themselves we browse the shops in the resorts village. Just... More

My wife and I with our 6 year old, decided we would head off for 5 days holiday, and had been told about the Tamar Valley resort by friends. After a little confusion, we finally found the official web site, our friends had told us it was Grindelwald Resort, apparently a name that the resort was once called some 15... More
