Spent 3 nights in a spa King Chalet on the bottom lake. The room had been renovated and updated, but the overall resort is ageing and is in serious need of a total makeover. We got a fairly good deal with a voucher, but would suggest you look elsewhere if you have to pay full price. Seems to be popular... More

Our cabin was designed for a large family, two rooms with two double beds, no actual dinning table , but a sofa bed to sit on and very claustrophobic. In saying this I would imagine for a family it would be good value but we were disappointed with our choice of cabin.

Great place for families, very family friendly, lots to amuse children, jumping pillows, indoor pool, tennis courts, go-carts, crazy golf, water activities. We bought a Luxery Escape deal which included all activities and breakfast. We loved our holiday.

Whenever visiting Launceston or the surrounding area this is certainly my favourite place to stay. Though a small drive out of the city centre, the peace and tranquility of the resort is worth the while. We usually stay in an Alpine Chalet, however on this occasion stayed in the hotel room. Happy enough with what we paid for though I'd... More

We stayed with friends in Hobart and drove to Launceston stopping at the many heritage towns along the main highway. Our Luxury Escape package included a 3 night stay in a king spa chalet overlooking the lake – these stand-alone chalets, more comfortable than luxurious, offer a peaceful and quiet environment, are well-appointed and the beds are excellent (the collection... We were kept awake till 12.30 a.m. Because there was a wedding right below our room. We booked in for a Saturday night and there was never any mention of any event being held. Our room was okay but we did not get any sleep because of the very loud doof doof music in the convention centre below our room.... More

Having stayed here many years ago, we were surprised to discover the studio units. Added to the back of the existing chalet units, these compact spaces are more than adequate for a couple. The kitchenette allowed us to self cater our breakfasts. The bathroom was tiny. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows could have been better. We had a... More

$197.93 for one night. Check in and check out was friendly and efficient. The hotel is a good 20 or so minutes drive into Launceston center. There is a public bus going every hour but if you need to make it in for a tour or a cruise then you may want to stump up for a taxi. Which is... More

We stayed in the Waterfront King Spa Villa (Room 511). Right on the lake, nice view of the golf course. The good: Comfy king bed, nice spa, decent breakfast (included in our package). Family of ducks lives on the lake and were happy for a feed. Very close to Launceston (about 15 minute by car). Close to Tamar Valley wineries.... More

We stayed here as two adult couples without kids. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at in Tasmania and the most disappointing. The cottage itself was fine, good double beds, but the pool and hot tub were gross. And the hotel only cleans them once a week! Wi-Fi can only be found in the lobby, not the rooms.... More
