Deciding to go with an organised tour, rather then drive ourselves (we always hire a car abroad), may not have been the cheaper option as entry to the gorge was only TL6 per-person (£1.50!). We hired their shoes too which were TL3 a pair. Good water shoes are necessary for the stones and rock climbing in the gorge but the... More

This is an optional activity in the safari trip. It costs 25TL (around $12) per person for a 20-25 minutes trip. It is worth every penny!!! The starting location is Saklikent. The river is just 50cm deep but cold water is always running. You have to watch for rocks in the river hitting your butt. My kids love it. We... More

Saklikent Gorge is a must do! Walk the gorge early to avoid the crowds. Highly recommend taking aqua shoes with some grip if you want to make it to the end! Rafting isn't exactly "white-water" rafting but is a lot of fun if your expectations aren't too high and you have fun with it. Treehouses were great to stay in.... More

Stayed here with my wife, 2 kids and another family of 2 plus 2 in August 2014. Have to say that overall we had a great experience and I would definitely recommend staying overnight in a tree house and doing the ring rafting which is an absolutely awesome experience. If you are staying in a tree house especially in August... More

I stayed here last year with my 4 children ranging from 17 to 7. We got there by travelling on the local dolmus from Fethiye. This was an experience in itself. Totally crammed in and the Turkish taking all sorts of strange things on the bus. We loved it. Anyway we arrived at Saklikent and were greeted by a wonderful... More

The area is great, sleeping In a tent, bungalow or treehouse next to the river, you can drink or eat above the river if you like. We spend one night in a bungalow: more than enough room for two (2 single beds, 1double), bathroom. And one night in a treehouse (great to experience, in it: just 2 double beds a... More

The Saklikent Gorge is great, but don't do the "rafting". What they call "rafting" is actually crappy rubber rings, that you can't manoeuvre at all. It's less fun that anything else you could do in the water, including swimming or just walking. And the water is so shallow that you get your buttocks ripped by the stones under. We said... More

Gorge is fantastic, definitely worth the 5.50TL entry fee, but this is a TERRIBLE place to stay. Tree houses are probably not safe -floor is decidedly wonky. Hot at night, then cold in early hours. Very confused roosters who crowed all night. There also seemed to be a lot of noise from people. Best to avoid if you want a... More

We arrived mid september and were given perfect directions for the dolmus from fetiye - unfortnunatly it was a national holiday so the buses were not running however Halil the owner arranged a car for us which was very welcome after a long travel. We stayed 3 nights in a treehouse which was very clean, spacious - enough for 2double... More

Strange atmosphere here, strange people running it (not all, there is a German talking guy here who is really nice). I arrived here in the morning after taking the nightbus and changed to the dolmus in Fethiye. My first impression of the area was good, a very nice and relaxing area. It already started when checking in. The dorm wasn't... More
