Great place to stay. Love the mountain vibes in this cool cabin resort. Spacious little Condo, with fireplace, kitchen, renovated bathroom, cozy queen bed. Short drive to the montain resort to ski. Easy access, friendly and helpfull staff. Discounts for returning customers are always appreciated.

I just got back from big Bear yesterday. I spent Friday and Saturday nights at The Frontier. I enjoyed my stay- although I was disappointed not to get into a private cabin. I booked this trip last summer (2014) The check is was "fine" the gentleman seemed bored or irritated with his job. He did his job and checked me... More

On our visit to big bear, we stayed at the Big Bear Frontier, and we were happy with our stay. The Staff was very polite, professional and attentive. The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to the shops and restaurants in The Village. The Cabin was nice with a full size kitchen that was fully equipped and stocked with... More

The hotel is a very different concept/idea. You feel like in home, in a relaxing cabin with view to the lake. Big Bear Lake is a small village so the location is good you just walk 5 minutes and you can see everything else. The rooms are wood cabins (with a fireplace) that have a little kitchen, the beds are... More

We stayed here on a road trip through to vegas. The cabins are great, lots of wood panelling that gives an authentic wood cabin feel. Location is great. We had a view of the lake from our balcony. Not that we were outside much as it was freezing. The cabins have great heating though. Big bear is a cute little... More

My husband and I had never been to Big Bear and rec'd a very strong referral to stay at the Frontier. We stayed in Cabin 5 and really liked it. Most important, it was CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. I'm really picky about this, and I was impressed. Our cabin was a one-bedroom and there was a flat screen TV in the... More

My husband and I decided to spend our wedding anniversary in Big Bear and a cabin seemed much more romantic than a hotel. Plus we were in some desperate need of quiet and relaxation. I called to make our reservations and decided on the lake front cabin and was given some helpful tips as to what to bring. When we... More

Planned a month early for our 2 daughters (1 of whom in from college) and family Big Bear cabin trip, cuz we have been going to Big Bear since they were little. Were all excited and got there and it was not a cabin, but an old Tri-Plex that had a broken space heater that did not work but the... More

We had a lake front one bedroom cabin with whirlpool bath - and it was so cute. Right on the lake, stunning view, extremely clean and cosy. It's basic, but has everything you need, and a seriously comfy bed. Go for a lakefront cabin, the view when you open your blinds in the morning is really special. We only stayed... More

For a couple's getaway, we loved these cozy little cabins. They're clean, close to the lake, and come with fireplaces and kitchenettes. On nippy nights, they heat up quickly via the wall control. Bedding was comfortable, and the shower was large with good water pressure. The cabins are walking distance to the lake frequented by ducks, coots, and pelicans. They... More
