Planned a month early for our 2 daughters (1 of whom in from college) and family Big Bear cabin trip, cuz we have been going to Big Bear since they were little. Were all excited and got there and it was not a cabin, but an old Tri-Plex that had a broken space heater that did not work but the... More

We had a lake front one bedroom cabin with whirlpool bath - and it was so cute. Right on the lake, stunning view, extremely clean and cosy. It's basic, but has everything you need, and a seriously comfy bed. Go for a lakefront cabin, the view when you open your blinds in the morning is really special. We only stayed... More

For a couple's getaway, we loved these cozy little cabins. They're clean, close to the lake, and come with fireplaces and kitchenettes. On nippy nights, they heat up quickly via the wall control. Bedding was comfortable, and the shower was large with good water pressure. The cabins are walking distance to the lake frequented by ducks, coots, and pelicans. They... More

We arrived early evening to find our accommodation off a main road nestled amongst tall pines. The cabins looked like traditional log cabins but we were in a two story ‘bunkhouse’ studio room with our own kitchen alcove and bathroom. It was neat and clean with its own fire place and bath. Everything was wooden including the toilet roll holder,... More

Have stayed here several times now while visiting family in Big Bear. Was a little disappointed with this trip however. The room has been remodeled, new paneling and new flat screen TV. Bathroom sink and cabinet improved. Downside is refrigerator and microwave moved into what used to be closet, now no room to hang up anything of length, table which... More

Very clean, very charming!!! It also has many choices of rooms to stay in, some are like a hotel others are like a cabin or they have two that are like houses right on the water. Every cabin is unique. My now husband but at the time we stayed, my boyfriend stay in the cabin that has a tree growing... More

We booked this over a weekend and the place was extremely busy - then died on Sunday night. Full of city dwellers on weekend breaks. Clean and adequate with enough facilities to self cater. Bedroom and Bathroom extremely small. Near to main road into resort so a lot of vehicle noise - worse because we picked the weekend the bikers... More

The cabins are awesome !!! You get a parking space right on the side of the cabin. Cabins have stove with oven. They have plates and silverware for your use. A little fridge. It's right in the lake and close to big bear village. A block from a bowling alley. This place was awesome.

My position was Food and Beverage Director, which was considered Asst General Manager of the hotel. I reviewed the Big Bear Frontier Cabins & Hotel in 2012. Stayed at this place for one night during labor day weekend. It was a good location to visit the village of big bear..it was close to every outdoor activity spot. We book a chalet with 2 bedrooms since there were 6 of us in a group. The unit was dated but it was clean and fine...My only complaint is the... More
