This was OK. Not especially good value as the hamburger was £12.95 - wow, and I am afraid I didn't believe it was home-made. Generally I find that if a place will not serve the burger pink, it's because the box it came in said not to do so.... Dessert of Apricot Treacle tart but heavy on pastry and probably... More

We stayed one night here to attend a great gig at the Reeth Memorial Hall. The pub was friendly with good beer and good food. It was a comfortable room and the breakfast was excellent with good quality food. Very welcoming of our dog and lent us a bowl for her as we had forgotten ours.

We ate there on Fri evening 8 Aug 2014. I ordered a veg casserole with a side order of chips. Well....when the meal arrived I would say it was definitely a childs portion. The waiter did ask if everything was ok with the meal...I replied that I did not feel the meal was value for money..to which he just turned... More

Having read previous positive reviews, the food at The Bridge Inn did not meet our expectations. We both had pies which were homemade. Unfortunately the fish pie filling was of a very thin milk consistency with very little fish. The pastry for both pies was very thin and biscuity. The steak pie filling was, however, good. The accompanying vegetables had... More

Booked a breakfast over a week before the event for 5 adults (men) following the end of a walking holiday. When we sat down we were informed that items on the menu were unavailable. There was clearly not enough starters of cereal, fruit juice and fruit portions for all the customers as some of us had to do without, (there... More

Visited The Bridge Inn as a treat for an evening meal while camping at nearby Grinton Youth Hostel. We had booked a table and the barmaid indicated that we should go to the waiting area (leather sofas) to wait for our table. We were given menus and ordered our food and then we waited a very long time. It was... More

Unfortunately during the week of the Tour de France due to the numbers expected we did resort to mass catering which did unfortunately lead to a temporary drop in the standard of food served. This was however reflected in the price but I must say I am happier now that we are back serving our usual menu. I apologise for... More

Puzzled by last review , did Grizingraz stay in the bridge in Grinton ?. The bridge is very old , very unique , staff are interested in visitors and help with advice on fishing , walks , cycle routes and much much more. It's very popular with walkers as their dogs are welcome , the food is above the norm... More

B and B's are our preferred accommodation and we have stayed in many different types, from relaxed and/or quirky to posh and elegant. By far this was THE worst place I have ever stayed. To begin with there IS no reception; just a bar where we were greeted? by a somewhat harried employee who begrudgingly showed us to our room.... More

My partner and I spent 3 nights at the Bridge in May. The pub is very "dog friendly" so we also took along our pooch, Muppet. The three of us were made very welcome by all the staff. We counted almost 10 of them! It's a real team effort - and that's just one of the things that makes this... More

Visited The Bridge Inn for the first time yesterday with my husband and daughter and was greeted by a mega friendly Landlord Drew who regularly chatted with us throughout the evening and who my 4 year old found very entertaining :) The service was excellent and the food was really lovely. Would love to come back here again
