The food and staff were very good at this tired and somewhat dated establishment, it could do with redecorating throughout. Don't stay in room one unless you like the noise from the kitchen extractor fans, which run until eleven at night and the smell of cooking, which constantly pervades the bedroom this is because the bedroom is above the kitchen.

Miserable bar staff would not let 70 year old 'open a tab' as he and wife were sitting at an outdoors table. Bar staff thought they might run away without paying!! They pointed out that the chances of them running anywhere at 70 were limited! Pathetic pub.

We booked three double rooms for a family weekend break- we were unable to book for a single night and so had to have 2 nights.....which meant this was a cheap weekend break. All of our 3 rooms were shabby, had very tired décor and old fashioned furnishings, small out dated ensuite facilities which were cramped and had poor water... More

A friend stayed here for 2 nights. We decided that we wished to spend a weekend walking our dogs I a pub which ws in the good pub guide because my friend is into real ales. Overall, it was a disappointment. Firstly, I have never stayed in a room so small. We had twin beds but once I had put... More

I visited this place on Sunday and was shocked. I am a vegan and ordered a vegetarian burger with fries and salad. I asked the bar staff if there was any dairy in the burger and he said that it was made of vegetables and rice, or so he thought. His approach to my question was a little dismissive and... More

Being on the coast to coast route and staying at Reeth, a local advised us the extra walk to the Bridge Inn at Grinton would be worth it, he was right! Had an excellent starter and main meal despite the pub being very busy with a mountain bike event. Also served a good range of beers. An easy 15 minute... More

Stopped off here for lunch after travelling since 5am from Devon and the food was very good and good value for money as you got hearty portions. the local lager is very good too and full of flavour. Will definitely come back again.

First of all keep in mind that this Inn is an hour and a half from the nearest large city, so it is definitely out in the country. Grinton is a VERY small town, but you are in the Yorkshire Dales which are absolutely beautiful. The rooms were more than adequate, everything worked, the pub was very active with locals... More

Fabulous evening meal with my family. Nice surroundings, friendly staff, good food. Really nice place to spend the evening. Also ordered their take away fish and chips which were good value, really tasty and highly convenient after a day exploring the Dales

Went for Sunday lunch along with our daughters dog! Great atmosphere and my 92yr old mum thought it was great. Sat in the bar along with another couple of dogs and all very pleasant. Roast beef and pork was excellent with super yorkshires. Definitely come again.
