This place is a very deluxe hotel and restaurant complex with swimming pools and gardens, but more importantly is built within the ruins of a Mediaeval Palace of the Counts of Lemos, fantastic views over the valley of Lemos and mountains of Leon, replete with ghost stories and a Spanish Inquisition torture chamber! Amazing ancient palace. In the middle of deep green Galicia this is all you need to get the ultimate rural experience - royal style. An incredible blend of old and new architecture. Fabulous interiors with wide views of the hills and valleys surounding the hotel, The staff were both efficient and friendly. This hotel is in the heart of the most beautiful area with deep canyons, ancient monasteries and even older rock carvings. And then there's the wine!
