The rest of the reviews here are right. Le Prieure is simply wonderful...lovely rooms, great breakfast, charming hosts, quiet, relaxing and stylish...whats not to like! We had a beautiful room which was more like a self contained flat and it had everything and more one could wish for. The Bastide towns are all within easy reach and Elisabeth and husband... More

This is a beautiful b &b. Extremely clean, high class furnishings, gorgeous rooms in a typical French house. This has a boutique feel, and has the wow factor. It's simply gorgeous. The owners are very laid back and make you feel very at home. No airs or graces here, you can relax and have your own key to come and... More

My husband and I just stayed at the Prieure for 3 nights and we highly recommend it. The rooms are beautiful, the beds comfortable, the breakfast perfect and the owner delightful. If you appreciate lovely interior design you will enjoy the Prieure. The decor should be in a magazine. The atmosphere is incredible…I wish I could stay all summer!

My husband and I recently spent 5 very enjoyable days staying at this delightful location. The owners were very helpful indeed and made our stay such a pleasure. Our room was extremely spacious and beautifully decorated. In fact the whole property is decorated in wonderful taste. A great location to return to after fantastic days exploring the Dordogne countryside. Thank... More

A charming B&B for five blissful nights in late September, with an equally charming and most helpful bi-lingual host, Elizabeth Vedier. Excellent advice on nearby restaurants and places to visit; even to closing our windows at night if the roaring noise of rutting stags in the adjacent fields disturbed our sleep! Given a warm welcome on arrival in spite of... More

Wallow in a little luxury at Le Prierure while you tour the Dordogne. The owner of French/American background knows how to meet the needs of the most fastidious traveller with spacious rooms with all mod cons and even tea/coffee making facilities for us tea seeking anglos. Rooms overlook the terrace and green fields at the back and the chateau in... More

You will read many superlatives in others' reviews of Le Prieure and after 4 days there I have to say that I can only agree with them. Elizabeth offers the warmest of French welcomes blended with the highest level of attention to detail and service.

What a fantastic property. This is a hotel with a real wow factor. If you are in the region you simply must stay here. Fantastic price for the standard of rooms, breakfast and welcome from the owners. Great patio area to eat breakfast with a view as far as the eye can see. A nice selection of reasonably priced wines... More

We approached the chateau de Biron on our motorbike through the pouring rain and the dark clouds framed the dark stone. There was nobody around as it was late evening. We initially struggled to find the entrance but when we did we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by our host - Elizabeth. From the view that greeted... More

Occasionally you are lucky enough to find a place that is quite unique and wonderful. It was, quite simply, a privilege to stay here and experience the inside of this old Priest's house. Our room was absolutely lovely, as was the whole building from the moment you stepped inside. It was a joy to simply explore all the public rooms,... More
