A warm welcome to a wonderful cottage, so clean and cosy. The bedroom was delightful and the bed just so comfortable! We had the best night's sleep for ages! Christina is a super person, we had such fun with her and enjoyed wine with her on the sea front! The breakfast was superb and we just felt so at home.... More

This was a rare opportunity to escape as a couple + puppy without our daughter. We were made to feel very welcome and Florence the puppy was fussed over. Christina could not have been more helpful and friendly on every level and went out of her way to help us find good places to eat. She also has a delightful... More

Brilliant little cottage, very friendly and hospitable, the owner Christina is lovely and a great host, breakfast time is a real treat in a lovely secluded back room. Fantastic views from the top floor room, good work Christina ;)

What a busy time it has been, and that is why my reply has been so badly delayed. It was so good of you to take the time to put something in writing, and a real joy to have had you both stay. As we discussed when you were here, it is a real 'stress buster' being in this quiet... More

We loved the inside of the cottage & the location was perfect. It was clean and homely. We we made to feel welcome once we had climbed over a wall of sand bags & got through the flood gate. Breakfast was good. We also ate at the Cove on Saturday night great food. Friday night was gale force of 9-10... More

The Valentines Day Storm, couldn't have been worse on your arrival, storm force winds, heavy sea spray and then an obstacle course just to get in, which you took in your stride. Living 50ft from the sea wall is fabulous most of the time, but we do have our moments and you were here during one of the worst storms... More

Peter and I had a lovely Christmas break at Mariners Cottage. Christina was very charming and looked after us like old friends. Hope we can return before long. Our room was lovely and the breakfasts were top notch, and all withing a hop and skip to the lovely Chesil beach and coastal path.

It's so good to hear from you after your stay here over Christmas, and as fellow bed and breakfast owners I am really happy that you enjoyed your time here. My local butcher is chuffed that once again his produce has gone down a treat. By the way, you wouldn't have had to open the window to hear the sea... More

I'm not sure if I should let others in on this secret! A charming B&B within walking distance of dive kit unloading for Chesil Cove. Love the 'no shoes' rule and relaxed atmosphere. Glowing starts on the ceiling with the sea reflected through the window. Excellent breakfast and a lovely chat with our hostess and her very friendly dogs.

Oooops sorry about the 'no shoes' rule upstairs, that's the problem with having cream carpets in the bedrooms, but I do love them... and am so pleased you loved the glowing stars on the ceiling. The sea is so calm and clear today, viz will be fabulous. Hope you come back to see us when next diving this area, and... More

If you want a location to start your walk around the Portland coast line or to access the wonderful views of the Jurassic coast, then this is the place for you. We had 3 Labrador dogs with us and Chrissie made our stay very welcoming, we would highly recommend it to others .

Simply the nicest of B&Bs. The rooms are lovely, the welcome from Christina and the dogs Emily and Poppy was wonderful. Great breakfast too. Handy for the beach, good links into Weymouth if you're looking for the city, but far enough away to benefit from the relative peace and quiet of Portland. We'll definitely be back next year

I often wonder if I ought to hand over, front of house hospitality, to the Girls (Emily and Poppy) as they get more mentions on here than the B & B, but it wouldn't be the same here without their input. Thank you both for taking the time to write this lovely review. We all look forward to seeing you... More

My sister and I booked Mariners Cottage, for 2 nights, as we liked the look of the web site. We were not disappointed.. Christina is a perfect host and the cottage is full of delightful bits and bobs. We had the room with king sized bed and en suite. This is light and airy and very well planned. Breakfast was... More

My wife and I spent the last couple of night's staying at the Mariner's Cottage. Both the cottage and Christina are gems - she could not have been more welcoming, despite telling us off for being early ! :) Really comfy room, all you could hope for for breakfast, and the Cove Inn a 3 minute walk for supper and...
