Warm welcome. A good clean room and friendly service, good food (as residents of France we enjoyed steak and kidney pie and fish and chips !). Great value for money, the full breakfast and coffee cost £5. The location is excellent for exploring Portland, Weymouth and the surrounding area.

An ideal little place for a brief visit. Room are clean and comfortable with everything you require (including a hair dryer, kettle, Ect). Lovely helpful staff who go beyond there call of duty, and it defiantly shows. Will defiantly be stopping here again now we know about it!

This is a comfortable, no nonsense accommodation. Friendly staff and nothing too much trouble for the friendly Reception person (sorry I'm rubbish with names). The Chef cooked up some hearty breakfasts (with a big smile!). Clean rooms and lovely deep baths with load of hot water. Room was just a little too warm for me. The hotel has live music... More

Staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean but very hot, even with windows open had to ask for a fan which helped, the bathroom have been renewed along with rooms based on a basic Travelodge style. The bar area is dreadful - no real beer, it is a small functional area for those who want chill after work with a... More

Stayed here recently for one night - very welcoming staff (we arrived off a late ferry). The room had four beds (tight fit) but was very clean and the bathroom was newly renovated with a spacious shower and plenty of hot water. The room was exceptionally hot when we arrived (we opened windows to cool it down) but had to... More

This was my second time here, I was part of a group of families and descendants of sailors who were lost when their ship was sunk by enemy action in 1944 whilst supporting the Normandy campaign. We went out to the site by boat on the anniversary to hold a memorial service. The staff at the Aqua were brilliant with... More

Aqua has long been a divers haunt, but with the hard boats not using the pontoon now, it seems quieter ... Our room was clean and well presented, the food was fine, but parking a rhib (no moorings) can cause friction, so suggest you ring the hotel to discuss before arrival.

Every Time in the past I've stayed in Portland I've used the Aqua, generally newish rooms, diver friendly and of course Scimitar Diving was across the car park and Underwater Explorers just across the road and plenty of other divers in the other local accommodation. Fast forward to now, Scimitar and UE have moved down to the new Marina and... More
