I'd read the tripadvisor reviews and have to agree that customer service wasn't really on this receptionists list of courses to take. Despite that this was an OK campsite with decent facilities and very close to the local bar/restaurant for our evening meal.

We booked the night before and got a cabin with ensuite, the room was clean, parking at the door, gas hot water with a nice size kitchenette and comfy bed. Food nearby is limited, if you don't know the area well, so it was handy that we had shopped in Dunedin before arriving, there are two main restaurants down the... More

We found this park such a pleasure to stay in, such an extremely nice park, the managers bent over backwards to help. This park is in such a breathtaking area, thankfully you can't get fuel on the Otago peninsula, which means we went out the coastal road then halfway back the hilly way(road closure), half way back again and finally... Not the greatest site, but in a brilliant location. Super drive to get there we took the high road which was a spectacular drive, but not sure I would have like to do it in a much bigger van! Plenty to do in the area if not on the site itself!

Pleased we had only booked one night as the place is a dirty dump, we booked a two bedroom unit & while the bedrooms were a decent size the living area is tiny & too cramped for a family of four. The unit is uninsulated so cold in the winter, the heating is a cheap noisy heater from the warehouse... More

Handy location on the peninsula. Sites spacious and grassy however there was not much for the kids to do. The staff were friendly, as was the free hour of wireless internet. Laundry was well equipped and machines worked well.

We had 2 nights here and enjoyed it. The Otago Peninsular is amazing with a lovely relaxed feel yet so close to Dunedin. The bathrooms are a bit old but they're fine. Laundry great. The site is small so it's quiet and feels like you're in a secluded country spot - yet 3 minute walk down to the village pub... More

I stayed here for 1 night in March with my husband on a powered site. The campsite is very small but the facilities are clean and showers are free with plenty of hot water. It is the closest campsite we could find to explore the Otago Peninsula where there is the most amazing wildlife. I would highly recommend staying here... More

This is the smallest camping ground we stayed at in New Zealand, but given that it is on the Otago Peninsula, that isn't surprising. Not much more than 100 m long, in two levels; 16 powered large camper-van sites on the road level, 6 smaller sites and 8 cabins above. Tent sites on the other side of the reception/toilets/kitchen building... More

.... on the Otago peninsula itself then we probably would not have stayed here. Having read reviews on Tripadvisor beforehand, our expectations were managed upfront. From the time we arrived, the place felt rather uninviting. Compared to what we had enjoyed at many other holiday parks in NZ, the facilities were rather average and the kitchen was quite small (waste... More
