This is the smallest camping ground we stayed at in New Zealand, but given that it is on the Otago Peninsula, that isn't surprising. Not much more than 100 m long, in two levels; 16 powered large camper-van sites on the road level, 6 smaller sites and 8 cabins above. Tent sites on the other side of the reception/toilets/kitchen building... More

.... on the Otago peninsula itself then we probably would not have stayed here. Having read reviews on Tripadvisor beforehand, our expectations were managed upfront. From the time we arrived, the place felt rather uninviting. Compared to what we had enjoyed at many other holiday parks in NZ, the facilities were rather average and the kitchen was quite small (waste... More

This was our second trip from Scotland to Otago and be stayed at the studio cabins again. The cabins are compact , modern and well fitted out with a spacious spotlessly clean shower room. The owners are very helpful. This site is In a wonderful location with easy access to all the beaches (we had great entertainment from aSeal coming... More

The park is situated down a small lane way and surrounded by trees which makes it very peaceful. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The toilets and showers were very clean. However my youngest found the spray of the shower too strong. It is in a convenient place close to penguin place and the royal albatross centre. I would... More

While the tent sites are rather small, cramped-feeling, and offer little privacy from the next site over, there is plenty of green space to comfortably pitch a tent. Kitchen facilities were a little small, but bathrooms were large and well-equipped. Owner/Operator was very friendly and welcoming. Due to its location on the Otago Peninsula, it makes for a great place... More

We chose to stay in the cabins with full kitchen and separate bedroom. They are quite cute and cleverly designed with lots of space. If I was to do it again I would just get the studio which doesn't have a full kitchen but has microwave etc. and the I could eat in the delightful restaurant in the village. Portobello... More

The drive to this place is probably the best part. Through rolling hills, you'll finally come to a small little intersection with one restaurant and a pub that is, Portobello. The staff at the village park are really friendly. They have a collection of DVDs, books, large equipment kitchen, showers, toilets, hair dryers and power parking sites. And also lodges... More

We stayed here for two nights...a bit car park like, but friendly staff and spotlessly clean facilities, which we saw being thoroughly cleaned each day. Good laundry facilities. Kitchen small but adequate with plenty of spare utensils etc... And nice communal area for eating which encourages chatting. Bear in mind the local scenery it would have been nice to have... More

We were initially going to stay a night in Dunedin, but we decided that we would go for a leisurely drive through picturesque Otago Peninsula instead. We stayed here for one night on a powered site in our campervan. We were given a lovely space right at the top end, where the next morning, our son was very excited to... More
