La Quinta was one of my favorite places to stay while in Costa Rica. The rooms were large with a large porch on the side. The setting was spectacular with great landscaping, ponds and gardens. In the morning they put out food for the birds and we saw so many gorgeous birds. They had a nice pool that was a... More

Spent two nights here on arrival into the country. Very rustic and charming. My room was clean and comfortable. Had a ceiling fan and air con. There were two single beds a two seater sofa and adequate lighting. Safety deposit box. Bathroom had large walk in shower and hairdryer on wall. Private patio outdoor space with two chairs and hammock.... More

We stayed at La Quinta with our largish tour group (21 plus three guides/driver) for two nights to use as our base to explore the surrounding rainforest and take in some of the area's activities. Of the four places at which we stayed during our trip (including a very upscale beachside resort in Playa Flamingo), La Quinta was our favorite.... More

A very well staffed place... All very friendly but everything closed by 9pm so after a night walk we couldn't get a well deserved cerveza! The gardens contained a "caiman pool" and a butterfly dome... We saw both caimans and the beautiful morpho butterfly... Irridescent blue... Magnifico!

I stayed for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. My room was a bit crowded with furniture-suppose it doubles as a family room. Frankly it was a bit on the tatty side though a friend's room looked like it had been improved. The grounds were lovely and very interesting though. Bathroom needs a spruce up.

Stayed here 2 nights with our tour group. Grounds are beautiful, rooms spacious with large dressing area which held luggage and very nice private patio with rocking chairs and hammock. Food average (buffet style). Rained so we were not able to enjoy pool or butterfly garden. Staff not as friendly as other places we stayed. We did the Collin Street... More

We spent 3 nights at La Quinta with our three kids. After the more touristy feel of Arenal it was a relief to arrive at such a friendly, family owned hotel. We really liked the rooms...we had the children next door, which worked well and the fact that there were dressing/ storage areas just off the main room just added... More

Two days at La Quinta got our two weeks off to a great start. The lodge is very comfortable, good food, good beds and very good if understated service. One of the swimming pools was out of service but this was low season so it was probably fairly sensible to repair it while they had the opportunity. I am not... More

When we arrived at La Quinta we were greeted with fruit, a cool towel, and pinnacle juice. La Quinta was a great place and deserves more than the one night we gave it. It was $110+tx a night, which I previously thought was expensive but it is well worth it (a resort of this quality in the US/Canada would be... More

We stayed here as part of our tour. The grounds were lovely. In the courtyard they put fruit on a tree every AM so it attracts many birds so you can sit there and bird watch. Wonderful Butterfly garden. Food was average at best. Room was comfortable and clean. Safe did not work. Lovely patio with rockers and hammock for... More
