A lovely place without any frills but wonderful service. Our first room was pretty river view (noisy!) but had issues with leaky AC, and the shower was very weak and temperamental and one of us had to get out and just stop using it. We were moved the next day and were the only guests, the room was much nicer... More

Nothing to write home about really though. The pools are small and the food was average to OK, the staff are friendly, but the rooms and some of the communal areas could benefit from being brought up to date a little more. That said it's all lovely and clean and the setting, in the middle of jungle is fantastic

Our tour group stayed here for two nights. Place has a little bit of everything from rare birds coming to the bird feeder every morning, bats roosting on the eaves of the roof, butterfly room, 4-5 caiman in the pond, mating frogs of all description, 9-banded armadillo, wood rail, green ibis, large toads, beautiful plants, iguanas and green lizards, howler... If you are checking out this hotel, my guess is you will like it (you would not be considering a hotel such as this otherwise). The hotel rooms are basic (and reasonably priced), the restaruant's food is certainly not high end. However, you are here because of nature, and the hotel's natural setting is one of the most beautful I... More

Our group which was composed of college students absolutely loved this place. Beautiful walk ways, butterfly garden, frog trail, a unique bug collection and two nice pools and a very nice dinning and hanging out area. Food was very good with reasonable prices. Rooms are air conditioned and were clean with warm water. My room balcony was facing the river.... More

La Quinta Lodge is located in a beautiful part of Costa Rica. The lodges are very comfortable and outside each of the rooms there is a hammock. There are two lovely swimming pools and the food is great. The highlight of La Quinta and Sarapiqui itself is the rich birdlife; toucans, aracaris, tanagers, honeycreepers and woodpeckers can be seen, especially... More

Stayed here two nights as part of a Collette Tour. Wifi only in reception and if it's raining, the wifi usually goes down. A/C, in room safe. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast, lunch and dinner - buffet. Food was very good. Lots of birds and monkeys on the property.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful. There is lush greenery, birds, butterflies and the rare howler monkey calling out at night. Every night I was lulled to sleep by the sounds of nature. The food was tasty . There was a buffet with a fairly good spread. The rooms were adequate- nothing fancy. The rooms have a porch with a rocking chair... More

The rooms here look like a giant thatched hut with the back of the rooms opening out onto a small patio and the main front doors all pointed into the middle of the large main round structure. The restaurant has the same thatched high ceiling roof and the gardens are well kept. Rooms are comfortable and have a safe deposit... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour. The bungalows were very spacious and the showers were hot. We had a covered patio with a hammock and a couple of loungers - it was still very pleasant to sit out when it rained. The walks around the grounds were lovely and any member of staff would help...
