The lodge and grounds are charming. Several large round out buldings contain the rooms. Both they and the main lodge area have round thatched roofs. The staff were extremely welcoming. the lodge seems to adhere to green practices. The bar overlooks a beautiful infinity pool tucked between tres. A variety of bird sounds add ro its ambiance. Food was plentiful... More

This lodge is in a lovely setting, we thought the grounds were well kept and the swimming pool is very attractive. The rooms are large, plenty of hot water and excellent showers and tea and coffee is available free of charge 24hrs a day in the reception area. The lodge is also ideally situated next to the Trimming Rainforest Reserve.... More

Very nice room clean but the hotel itself needs updating. Staff very slow had to find someone to get drinks from the bar every night we were there. Food not good buffet style dinner, no choice to eat in hotel as there is nothing in town. Gardens need cleaning and weeding. Good pool! Only wifi in the reception area and... More

A nice eco lodge, located very close to the Tirimbina Rainforest Biological Reserve. The rooms are located in buildings like thatched huts. The rooms are simple but spacious and comfortable. The rooms have showers only, and you should bring soap and shampoo from home. Breakfast and dinner are basic. there is also a botanical garden , archaeological remains and nice... More

Great lodge, with all the comfort you wish! may overpriced, but worth it. Botanical garden not good, messy. Really big rooms, great bed, nice little balcony. "Natur" pool is great - almost right into the rainforest...some stuff a bit moody and willing to speak english, but not with passion or effort. Wifi just in reception :(

Right in the middle of the rain forest and a biological preserve. You are surrounded by amazing flora and fauna and are likely to see a number of tropical birds and animals. This is no chain hotel. The rooms are 6-8 rooms per round, thatched-roofed building. They are plain but very comfortable and clean with the sounds of the forest... More

It was very disappointing that the museum was closed and that is not indicated on the website nor in any travelguide. Same for Archaeological Park 'Alma Ata' that was under reconstruction. The hotel was very basic. The service on the other hand was impecable, very nice lady that gaves us a splendid tour when we arrived and also very nice.... More

Driving up to this lodge during our trip to Costa Rica was a treat. The uniqueness of the lodge and the beauty of its negative-edge swimming pool that almost magically disappear into the rainforest behind it was a delight for all senses. Our travel time was during the "low season" so-to-speak as there weren't many other guests which made it... More

We loved this hotel! It was the perfect place to stay while enjoying the natural beauty that Sarapiqui and the La Virgen area has to offer. Right next to the hotel is the beautiful rainforest Tirimbina for hiking and a vast array of eco walks, and 10 minutes away is the put in for white water rafting which we did... More

This was my favorite Lodge during my visit to Costa Rica. The Lodge consists of several large pre-Columbian style huts that contain 8 rooms with private baths. There is a glass door that connects to a patio to view wildlife which is abundant. They are located next to La Trimibina Reserve and many birds and monkeys visited the Lodge. We... More
