Posada Andrea Christina is a most wonderful place to stay. My husband and I spent three nights there and wished it had been many more. Alex Martinez is the best host ever. Each morning he prepares breakfast of eggs, fruit and his home made bread and jam. He feeds the birds by the dining spot so that there is a... More

We found Alex Martinez by chance if you like, when a planned activity fell through and forced us to alter our plans. Alex was recommended to us and after a phone call agreed to take us out birdwatching the following morning. We had a super mornings birding capturing some memorable images of macaws, toucans and a whole host of other... More

Alex and his family really make you feel welcome and at home. Alex is full of information about the area and all of Costa Rica. He and his family make you feel welcome and at home. The breakfast is very good. The setting is a small natural second growth location where many birds come including Green Macaws. After sunset the... More

This is a special place to stay. Birds and other wildlife are everywhere and you get an excellent opportunity to take photos as the birds come to eat the fruit which is put out for them. The accommodation is quite individual mostly consisting of rooms in cabins in the grounds but there is also a tree house which offers lovely... More

We stayed in this posada for three days and it rained continuously. Our room was attractively furnished and had screened windows and a fan. We had asked about the tree house, but its leaky roof was being repaired at the time. The breakfasts were very good, and Alex Martinez was a good host, sometimes giving us rides to areas in... More

We just love staying at Posada Andrea Cristina. It's a little oasis of birds and animals. The place is very clean, the breakfast is delicious and Alex and family are so warm and welcoming. We enjoy being able to walk to the village. This little oasis is full of life. The sunrise is magic with all those birds. For a... More

When we first arrived here, it was like walking into another world, coming from the street and walking into this lush jungle garden with cute cabins and porches with hammocks. We were lucky enough to be near the breakfast area, which meant we had wifi reception at the edge of our room / at the porch. The place was swarming... More

We were there with an Intrepid travel group. With their max-size of 12 people we just fitted in this nice little B&B. They have some rooms, which work for couples, friends and families as well as a number of tree-houses - for those who want the real jungle feeling. All set in a tropical garden. Having breakfast in the patio... More

thanks to Alex who looked after me very well. It was lovely to rest in a hammock in the tropical garden and then go on a boat trip on the peaceful Rio Sarrapiqui. Alex kindly ran me there, introduced me to the boatman, and told me of a good place to eat after. His wife was very kind too, and... More

We stayed in the tree house and it was for all of us - especially the kids - a great adventure. The houses are great, every one is an own one. Alex the owner makes a lot and the garden is with a lot of different animals is beatiful. It's a oasis of calm and nature. A great experience!
