We stayed in this posada for three days and it rained continuously. Our room was attractively furnished and had screened windows and a fan. We had asked about the tree house, but its leaky roof was being repaired at the time. The breakfasts were very good, and Alex Martinez was a good host, sometimes giving us rides to areas in... More

We just love staying at Posada Andrea Cristina. It's a little oasis of birds and animals. The place is very clean, the breakfast is delicious and Alex and family are so warm and welcoming. We enjoy being able to walk to the village. This little oasis is full of life. The sunrise is magic with all those birds. For a... More

When we first arrived here, it was like walking into another world, coming from the street and walking into this lush jungle garden with cute cabins and porches with hammocks. We were lucky enough to be near the breakfast area, which meant we had wifi reception at the edge of our room / at the porch. The place was swarming... More

We were there with an Intrepid travel group. With their max-size of 12 people we just fitted in this nice little B&B. They have some rooms, which work for couples, friends and families as well as a number of tree-houses - for those who want the real jungle feeling. All set in a tropical garden. Having breakfast in the patio... More

thanks to Alex who looked after me very well. It was lovely to rest in a hammock in the tropical garden and then go on a boat trip on the peaceful Rio Sarrapiqui. Alex kindly ran me there, introduced me to the boatman, and told me of a good place to eat after. His wife was very kind too, and... More

We stayed in the tree house and it was for all of us - especially the kids - a great adventure. The houses are great, every one is an own one. Alex the owner makes a lot and the garden is with a lot of different animals is beatiful. It's a oasis of calm and nature. A great experience!

We truly had a great experience with Alex and his family at Posada Andrea Cristina. Even their garden is an adventure. Lots of animals to see like frogs, sloths, lots of beautifull birds and even a kinkajou! Alex also runs a private animal reserve were he releases rescued animals. We were even whitness of a release of a Great green... More

First of all let's talk birds. With rare Great-green Macaws flying over and even perching in the trees that alone would be enough for me to want to stay here! But it gets better than that. I challenge anyone to finish the delicious breakfast Alex and his family provide for you in haste. You can't. There will be one bird... More

We had a great stay at this beautiful place. We were sleeping in one of the tree houses which was just fantastic (much nicer than the rooms I have to admit)! The breakfast place is a lovely setting where you can watch the birds from your seat, whereas at night, you'll find frogs at the little water basin. We also... More

Truly unique B&B and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sarpiqui who are looking for a unique and interesting stay. What made Alex's place special is the host, his family and the wonderful atmosphere. We had a great night feeding off Alex's enthusiasm for nature and whenever there was an opportunity he'd be showing us some creature in the garden.... More
