We have stayed with Heather two or three times over the last two years while visiting our daughter in Chorlton. Sadly, this was our last visit for the foreseeable future as our daughter has moved back to Norwich but this could not have been a better place to stay after packing up her flat. There is always a warm welcome... More

I first visited Abbey Lodge eleven years ago; my most recent one was.at the end of March; the fact that I have returned usually three times a year should speak for itself. It is a beautiful Edwardian houseand retains mant of its original featureswith its high ceilings and stained glass, but at the same time is thoroughly modern, with sparkling... More

The hotel website states 'free buffet breakfast'. What it does not say is that there is no hot cooked food nor is there a breakfast room, both of which one would expect from a B&B. Instead boxes of breakfast cereal are left on a table on the landing for guests to collect and there is a toaster with a loaf... More

You chose our standard double room (Room 5) for your three three night's stay whilst visiting the area you used to live some years ago. We spoke on many occasions but you did not express disappointment with the accommodation. In fact this is the first time anyone has stayed at Abbey Lodge and has expressed disappointment, if you had done... More

My partner and I stayed at Abbey Lodge on Sat 29th March. We had a room on the ground floor which was far beyond what we expected. The room was huge! It had a breakfast table, two big arm chairs, a very comfortable double bed and plenty of room to spare! The en suite was a little on the small... More

I had a very pleasant and quiet stay at Abbey Lodge, a family run B&B. The landlady Heather and her son were extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, quiet and homely with all mod cons to hand. Breakfast was plentiful and all in all, I had a very relaxing stay. I thoroughly recommend this B&B. Thank you!

My mum stayed here whilst visiting me from guernsey, everything was satisfactory in the room. Stayed in number 2, can see the road from the room but mum found it very quiet still (even compared to guernsey!). Breakfast was yummy and taken to your room which was quite convenient actually- Heather was lovely and friendly, will be booking again!

Our son chose Abbey Lodge for us and said he was sure we would like it. He couldn't have made a better choice. We stayed sunday, then went to the Lake District for four nights and back for one night.Heather was a breath of fresh air, professional and helpful in every way. The house was immaculate and full of character, stained glass and... More

This was my second stay in Abbey Lodge and I found the excellent standards and pride in the premises had been solidly maintained. There's really no need to reiterate the fulsome comments of the reviews I read but I would wish to corroborate them. It's probably worth pointing out that Abbey Lodge does not have a Breakfast Room in case... More

I am writing this on behalf of my Grandad who stayed in December. We live in Chorlton, and have had family stay at Abbey Lodge previously when they come to visit us. It's very convenient to our house and we know it will always be of a high standard. Heather is very welcoming and accommodating. Her guest house is of... More

I'm always hesitant about stopping at a B&B as I fear I may feel like I have to tiptoe around what feels like a private home. This place however has none of that. Comfy, clean and reasonably modern (in a traditional sort of way!). Stayed here with my wife plus friends in another of the rooms. All very happy. Breakfast... More
