My mum and I visited Canna in mid March.  Canna has always been a very special place for us.  Having only ever travelled to Canna on our family yacht, more often than not to take shelter in the beautiful natural harbour from the Scottish Summer Weather!  We were excited to see what Canna's only B+B had to offer. Well, what... More

I was already very excited at the prospect of a few days in Canna, to experience the Island and be part of the 'Away With the Birds' recce in preparation for the performances in late August. I was blown away at how beautiful the island was on approach by the ferry and blown away even more on entering Colin and... More

Tighard is an unexpected jewel of a guest house on Canna, one of Scotland's small Inner Hebridean islands. The house itself is spacious and elegant, built by the Thom family, owners of the island in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Once you enter the door, you know you are in a unique and special place. Hosts Colin and David... More

We had five days at Tighard - our first visit to the Isle of Canna. We could not have asked for more from Colin and David, our hosts, nor from the delightful house which they run. From the moment of our arrival at the quayside, where they met us to take luggage up to the house, they were warm, friendly... More

We spent 2 nights on Canna and would have stayed longer if Tighard House had not been fully booked for the festival in August. Colin met us off the ferry with a warm welcome and delivered our rucksacks back to the ferry on the return journey; the weather was so good we preferred to walk. The food was excellent, the... More

I've just returned from a beautiful couple of days on Canna staying at the Tighard Guest House. Colin and David are very welcoming and the food is amazing! I stayed in Sanday room which has great views out over Sanday, Rum and Coll and Tiree in the distance. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Was warmly greeted off the ferry by Colin and David and the short journey up to Tighard Guest House offers amazing views as set up in the hill overlooking the harbour. Beautiful house with a warm and welcoming feel, we stayed in Sanday room which offers views of the sea and such a peaceful haven, as no traffic on the... More

I know I'm being lazy, but it's late and I've just finished work! I endorse everything Martin W wrote in his review. We had the additional benefit of seeing a sea eagle being mobbed by a buzzard on the north cliffs. My wife's vegan and I'm vegetarian, but that was no problem for Colin, and our first dish for dinner... More

Four days at this wonderful B&B on this wonderful island in May. Canna is a truly beautiful island, with dramatic scenery, terrific birds and other wildlife (we came the closest we are ever likely to come to golden eagles) and a true sense of peace and tranquillity. And, in the midst of it, Tighard Guesthouse, run by Colin and David,... More

I stayed at Tighard for three wonderful days and nights in early May. Colin and David are such great hosts, welcoming you at the pier and during your stay imparting, as appropriate, their great knowledge of the island, places to explore and where to walk - almost everywhere! The furniture, furnishings and artwork at Tighard are amazing for such an... More
