What a find! Stayed here for two nights en route from England to Switzerland. Very warm welcome comfortable room and excellent dinner. We visited the Bugatti museum in Mulhouse and took the train to Basel to visit the Christmas market. Dinner on both evenings was superb and although the menu is only in French there was help at hand. The... More

We visited on a Wednesday lunchtime. Lucky I had made a reservation as the restaurant was full. We chose the 3 course lunch menu which was brilliant value for money. But it was a lot of food as the were 3 amuse buches and a palate cleansing sorbet on top of the 3 courses. All of the food was exquisite... More

Nice wines, good food, interesting menus, good variety and choice. I like it and have already been a few times, there was never a problem with the quality of the food, but sometimes I feel the service is not as friendly/helpful as it could be. The cheeses are fantastic (Maître Anthony)!

We spent 3 nights at the hotel in August 2014 and had dinner there as well. The rooms are cosy and quite spacious and have old wooden furniture, the bathrooms and separate toilet facilities are refurbished in modern style. The menu is à la carte, rather limited as to choice, especially if guests do not appreciate the cuisine's specialities such... More

Staying in an old half-timbered auberge in the Alsace cannot be compared to staying in an American chain hotel, so do not come here if those are your expectations. First of all, most of the staff do not speak English, and those who do speak very little, so brush up on your French. I wish I had. We felt a... More

The main reason for staying here is the food; the rooms are very comfortable, and the building is charming but the food is outstanding (see a review in the restaurant section). We stayed here twice in quick succession (we inadvertently nicked the room key on our first stay, so as we were passing close by on our return trip, we... More

Auberge St Laurent is a 1 star establishment, close to the Swiss border. It’s my kind of place. Slightly old fashioned, but not cluttered with junk. Smart, but not stuffy staff. I was rather surprised to read a previous review complaining poor service; we saw nothing of the sort and our French is terrible and I mean rubbish! Was this... More

I booked this hotel on my way to Berne, mainly because of the restaurant. I was pleased to be offered a very nice bedroom furnished with some antique & some reproduction furniture, all tastefully assembleyed & blended with lovely accessories. The room had a warm bathroom with a separated WC. Wired internet access & the use of a coffee machine... More

Colleagues have been recommending us to this restaurant for years. Since our favorite restaurant (Table de Louis- Habsheim---Try this one ) closed for the August holiday. We thought we gave this a try. The atmosphere was fairly nice enough. We had a nice garden table. Our food order was taken fairly quickly and sat waited for 15 minutes for someone... More

If you're bored with the high prices paid in Switzerland and you live in Zurich or Basel, just cross the border and you get in 20 minutes by car to the nice French village of Sierentz. In this small Alsacien town you will find the Auberge Saint-Laurent, a hotel and most of all restaurant awarded with one star in the... More
