Gorgeous hotel. It is an old house, with only a few rooms and suites. The rooms are so quiet with comfortable beds, fast showers and beautiful decor. These mountains are incredible. Nuria and Jose make you feel at home.Highly recommend it for ambiance, service, and food.

We had a lovely time at Casona de Quintana and would highly recommend it. Jose and Nuria are warm, friendly hosts who took time out to recommend things to do in the area and book activities for us. We stayed 3 nights and ate at the hotel every night...Nuria is a great cook and we loved her food which featured... More

My husband and I just spent two most enjoyable nights in this charming small hotel in the middle of a tiny village largely populated by cues and chickens. Our bedroom and bathroom were beautifully but simply decorated and the owners were charming and most helpful. They gave good advice for walks and restaurants in the area. Starting a short drive... The setting for this hotel is on the edge of a small rural village, about an hour and a quarter's drive from Santander. Set in the bottom of a valley surrounded by mountains on the edge of the Natural park of Los Collados del Ason it is a delightful situation. Warmly welcomed by José, we were impressed by the sensitivity... More

After reading other reviews we booked a night at this hotel as a stop over on our way back to Santander port and we were not disappointed! It is located in a small hamlet in the remote mountains of Soba and the drive to and from the hotel involved a herd of cows, narrow roads, goats, hairpin bends, horses and... More

Without Trip Advisor you'd never find a gem like this. We arrived in Santander and wanted to ride out of the port to somewhere nice to stay for the evening. We discovered this ranked highly on TA and it did not disappoint. We came up through Ramales, Arredondo, and along the CA-265 and the view as you climb the mountain... More

My husband, 2 year old son, and I stayed here for one night last week after a drive from Oviedo through Northern Spain. To say this place is rural and isolated is an understatement and it was amazing. Jose was very welcoming and spoke English well which was much appreciated since our Spanish was limited. He welcomed us with a... More

Having spent a sleepless night in another Casona about an hour away we couldn't have been more thrilled to arrive at Casona de Quintana in brilliant sunshine. From the moment we arrived we were transported into a bit of heaven. The room was a sanctuary which was only surpassed by the home cooked dinner we experienced. We enjoyed our first... More

We found this hotel on the Mr & Mrs Smith website so we're expecting a good standard, however on arriving realised that one night was not enough ! The hotel, hosted by the charming Jose is tucked away in a verdant valley. Early evening we enjoyed one of Jose's speciality beers whilst watching the vultures soaring above the spectacular craggy... Beautifully restored and looked after hotel, perfect for a romantic or relaxing getaway. Delicious set menu dinner (20 euros seemed very reasonable for an evening menu), very very comfy bed and lovely bathroom, great breakfast with views over the mountains, lovely grounds, a very pretty village and valley, and very welcoming and helpful hosts. We would definitely recommend and repeat... More
