We overnighted at The Courthouse Hotel on our way down to the Glen of Aherlow and were pleasantly surprised. Carlow is a town I visited quite a bit about 15 years ago and loooks much the same today. Parking for the hotel is a sharp right parallel to the hotel through a narrow passage so snug it almost felt like... More

Located just off Carlow Main Street. Well appointed clean rooms. Excellent bar food and service. Lovely old bar. Table service breakfast. Definitely stay here again. Staff were very friendly. For Guinness lovers like me- they have pint bottles of Guinness 😄

We booked this hotel via booking.com and selected a twin room. Mins after we booked it the hotel phoned us and advised that there were no twin rooms left when we booked and for the inconvenience they offered us 2 separate double rooms. We would of settled for 1 double room but the hotel insisted, which was great service. When... More

Stayed for a weekend, birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived the staff were so attentive and friendly. Anything we needed they went out of their way to provide. The food was very good and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be returning soon! It was like a home away from home.

Had a Groupon Voucher for 1 night stay, incl evening meal & breakfast for two for €69 which was fantastic value. Reservation was made for a double room. Outside was very well presented with a lovely olive green colour with a small free car park across the road. This was meant to be a nice fun romantic night away, so... More

Stayed here for a night using a Groupon voucher. The hotel room's are a bit dated the but served their purpose. We had a 3 course meal and the food excellent. Breakfast was included in the deal and well worth getting out of bed for. The location of the hotel is central and the bar serves a lovely pint. If... More
