Very clean and comfortable accomodation. Lovely cosy room. Fast, free wi-fi. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Large, secure car park. Would highly recommend if you need somewhere to stay in Carlow. Thank you Gavin for your hospitality.

centrally located and run by a very friendly and welcoming couple. A lovely clean and reasonably priced B & B that is ideal for individuals, couples and families. This lovely B & B is well located in the town centre.

Stayed here with my father during the ploughing match in sep and thought it one of the best guest houses I've ever stayed in, great location, off street parking at the back, good breakfast in the morning and best of all great value.

I was looking for a cheap single room for 1 night in Carlow. This guesthouse was cheapest in town, so my expectations were not very high. I was pleasantly surprised. Great guesthouse, spotlessly clean. It is a period house and has all the character of one, so don't expect ultra-modern decor. Great breakfast also, quality ingredients. Gavin was very friendly... The Red Setter guest house is excellent, so clean and quiet, the owners are so helpful in every way. What a great breakfast, highly recommended. We choose this town as it was half way between Dublin and Cork

I just returned to America after a trip to Ireland and a short stay at the Red Setter Guest House. The B&B is in a great location in Carlow, just steps from pubs, shopping and anything you need to do in Carlow Town. The B&B is also located a short drive from some of the town's tourist sites. The rooms... More
