In the summer this is a great area for walking and with skiing in the winter it offers a wide choice of activities, the hotel is well suited for families with a boating lake and children’s rides. The hotel staffs were helpful and friendly but our room was small and the walls and ceilings are very thin so there was... More

We stayed here for 2 nights with a group of friends. The situation is magnificent and has wonderful views all around. It's a 3 star hotel so don't expect luxury but the rooms and restaurant are fine. We left the car in Queralbs as there is a big carpark there and came up on the "cremallera" which takes about 20 minutes. If... More

We booked 2 nights at the apartments of Vall de Núria. We staid in a duplex for 6 people (we were 4 and a 6 months child) with two rooms, two complet bathrooms, a small kitchen, living room and dining room. There are a new building apartments, you can see the pictures on their website. Great place and wonderful stay... More

We've been here 4 years in a row because of the location and the ski facilities for small children. Nonetheless we won't come back anymore because of the complete lack of service attitude. It's the feeling of going back to the 80's in Eastern Europe. They don't care about customers that pay for their salaries. To book was a nightmare... More

We came here from Barcelona with our kids (ages 11, 9, and 6), and had a great time. We took the Renfe train to Ribes de Freser. We did not find this a very easy thing to figure out. Take the local train, NOT the Rodalies, as it is beyond the limit of Zone 6. The train cost for us... More

Vall de Nuria is a small isolated resort in the Catalan Pyrenees. You can only get there by the train or walking in. We stayed one night in July and I'd say it was OK as a hotel, no better than that. A shrine/sanctuary is oddly tacked on to the hotel and the place seems to have great emotional significance... More

First of all the location is great. Lovely walley accesible only by he cog train. Views are great from almost all the rooms. Unfortunatelly the rooms itself are not that great. We had a refreshed one but in the bathroom there were some fungus in some less visible areas. The shower was new. We asked for a room with one... More

We stayed here as a base for walking in mid-October and have to say that in general we were really pleased with it. We booked it over the internet and were sent email confirmations that we showed at the mountain railway ticket office in Queralbs and we used the railway to the resort for free. The resort itself is absolutely... More

We stayed here for 5 nights early in the summer of 2010 to walk and had booked an apartment for 4 people. It was pretty crammed, but nice and with a well equipped kitchen. According to the website the hotel would have several restaurants to choose from - but only ONE was open while we were there. And they offered... More

We took a break from the beach and stayed here for 3 days. It is very beautiful but still being worked on (the East wing is being refitted and is a building site), and the potential is huge. It has a strange feel about the place, so may parts are so nearly very good. The restaurant if you like buffet... More
