We stayed in this hotel for one night during our Rhine River cycle tour. The Hotel Roseberg is run by the same family as the Hotel Adler - however it is located over the river, up the hill and across a busy road. Cyclists are accommodated here as the secure bike storage garage is situated below the Hotel Roseberg. This... More

We arrived 4 of us on bikes. They were equipped with a large garage to accomodate about 20 bikes. The old creaking wooden hotel was amazingly located right on the river and next to the main "one way bridge" so lots of interesting views out the windows. Also located very well for walking to town square with good choice of... More

This belongs to the Hotel Adler and is about 5 minutes walk from the main hotel, which is on the other side of a dual carriageway and the river. The room was clean but very functional and soulless - the furniture and décor looked liked they dated from the 1970s! Breakfast has to be taken in the main hotel and... More

I spent one night during June in a single at the Hotel Adler, and thought it a great choice. And OMG, the setting is gorgeous – right on Stein-am-Rhein’s stunningly frescoed main square and with some of these frescoes on its own facade. Wow! My room was small and had an angled ceiling, but was efficiently arranged and was both... More

We are mature couple who stayed in this hotel for one night. Although we were the only guests at the time we didnt get any help or approched respectfully by the stuff. Prepare to pay for parking area. Breakfast was served at 08:30 which is quite late for travelers on the run. Wouldnt come back there for sure.

We stayed here for 3 nights last week; Hotel Adler was more or less picked at random, but proved to be a great choice. It is right on the main square, in the historic heart of the town - easy walk to the river, train station, Burg Hohenlingen (the castle on the hill), and also to beautiful walking and cycling... We crossed the river into Stein am Rhein unsure of what to expect and were literally speechless when we entered the beautiful main square. The old buildings are all painted and lovely and so we had high hopes of the Adler Hotel, which looks stunning from the outside. However the tiny reception area and interior were unimpressive. Our rooms were... More

The hotel is better than expected. Great location, just in the middle of the town. But the rooms are not facing Rathaus plaza, so it's still very quiet. Old hotel but good quality. Toilet is big with full facilities. We were lucky to get the Room 33. Which might be the best room in the hotel. Highest level, at the... More

Our room was a jr. suite and was spacious and very clean as was the bathroom. The location is very central although most place in this small town would be central. The staff was curteous and tolerated my less than perfect German. The breakfast was very good and a nice touch was seeing a table reserved in your name every... More

Nice guesthouse in Stein. The room was huge but the floors creaked badly. We were on an upper floor but wondered if anyone was below us. WIFI and parking was available but not included. A basic breakfast was included. The hotel is in the center of town and fronts the pedestrian zone. We just stayed one night as we were... More
