Leukerbad is a small village with some nice old building and some modern less attractive blocks. The Lindner hotel is an amalgam of three older hotels joined by a modern centre section and some under road tunnels for one part. Thermal bath is simply relaxing for my boyfriend and me! Excellent mountain view from the baths. The room is kind of out of date but ok for the price we paid (only 77GBP---very very cheap). Excellent breakfast---- already miss it. more

Just returned from one night at this hotel as part of a week long trip through central Switzerland. The hotel was the cheapest one we stayed at the whole time and by far the nicest (I got an excellent deal through a Switzerland travel website). It is definitely worthy of four stars. The definite advantage of staying at Lindner in Leukerbad is its breakfast: lots to choose from, very polite cooks making fresh food/drinks of guests' choice. A great perk is the free gym and a free swimming pool, but you have to pay for thermal baths extra. What was most unusual to me was unfriendly and arrogant staff at the reception.... more
