The Guarda Val Hotel is based in Sporz, a hamlet which is approx. 10 km up the mountains from Lenzerheide. In winter, it is possible to ski directly from the village or take the hotel's mini-bus to the broader Lenzerheide ski area. It is also now possible to reach the Arosa ski area, which has now been connected to Lenzerheide... More

Swiss Alpine holidays as in the last century. Cosy and originally decorated luxury rooms, nestled in different small traditional farm houses that form the tiny village of Guarda Val. In Winter ski-in, ski-out from your farm house (yes, you really do not need a car!), complimentary tea and cakes in the afternoon, excellent gourmet restaurant and a simple restaurant with... More

A midweek escape for a birthday treat before Christmas. Walks in the mountains, in snow and sunshine, afternoon tea by the fire, then relaxing in the beautiful sauna before dinner. It is the place to be spoiled. The gourmet menu is delightful and imaginative, the staff knowledgable, personable, and unobtrusively attentive. In fact the whole place, with its magnificent rooms... We stayed one night at Guarda Val and the staff are so friendly and attentive. The room (Herdsman) was small but was welcoming and cosy with fluffy pillows and duvets. A nice turn down service is operated and lots of little 'treats' are left in the room. Afternoon tea is very nice and so is the breakfast, everything that you... More

The hotel gives a feeling of countryside and it was absolutely relaxing. The spa facilities were excellent and I had never experienced such open field hot jacuzzi where you can dip into the hot tub right in the middle of the countryside. It is certainly a place for anyone who needs an escape from the hustle and bustle of city... More

This is top, very charming hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated with log walls, in some sort of mountain style. Many small details that make a difference, from shoe shining to cake buffet in the afternoon. In general very attentive and helpful staff, they all contributed to make the stay memorable. The atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing, really a... More

From booking to welcome in the hotel. From dining to departure, the staff is through and through very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and have all necessary equipment. The restaurants have excellent food and wine. Do not forget to book a wine tasting in the wine cellar to taste some local or internationally known wines.

I have mix feelings about this hotel and I find it very difficult to give my review because I think it has a lot of good/bad points... Let's start with what I loved most about this place... The location is absolutely incredible, set in a small valley surrounded by the mountains, no traffic, no noise. The rooms are located in... More

This hotel feels like an intimate mountain resort, with lots of different activities you may join in on if you want. The place consists of several small buildings in a breathtaking location. Every little detail has been considered when re-decorating the rooms with all necessary modern luxuries, but at the same time keeping the original feel of the place. The... More
