The hotel is 5 min. from Tasch station. We have to take train to go to Zermatt. That costs about 15 F. The hotel is family owned. The owner is Japanese friendly. They provide rice and miso soup in morning buffet. The room is very simple and clean. The hotel consists of main building and annex. There was no telephone... More

At checkin at the Elite hotel I advised the desk I would like a room for two nights and was quoted a price of 130 franc's per night. After checkin was complete and in our room for an hour we decided that we would only stay one night and move on to Zermatt. My wife went to the desk and... More

I've been regularly staying at the Hotel Elite since 2009, as it is perfectly positioned for skiing in Zermatt, either via the Zermatt shuttle train which runs from 100m from the hotel, up the mountain, or by the hotel's own minibus shuttle. Hotel Elite is comfortable, clean and friendly with superb levels of personal service from all the staff. On arrival,... More

When we checked into hotel Elite the first thing we noticed was the smell. It was something like a wet cat or an antique shop. We were dreading to think what the rooms would look like. The rooms weren't as bad as the lobby but nevertheless was nothing special. Outdated decor. We had a pull out bed in our room... More

We are ski fans and we usually choose hotels that are not located at the ski resorts, as these tend to be too expensive. This is particularly true for Zermatt. What we value in the hotels we chose for skiing is a good bed, a good shower, cleanliness, space for all our ski stuff, a parking lot and a good... More

The hotel is ok, one should not expect a high level of comfort, but it does fine, because its ideally located closed to Tasch station, and the rooms (if they are facing the road) provide beautiful views of the Matterhorn and trains approaching from a distance The breakfast is just about OK, has standard fare and not much variety. Strawberry... More

For a weekend skiing, and booking late this was the cheapest option. After reading some of the previous reviews I knew what to expect including the “friendly” owner. The hotel was about 8 minutes walk from Tasch station so very near. The room itself, more or less reminded me about a dormitory, I guess when paying £90 a night it... More

Read through the comments on Trip advisor before arriving. It is not a 5 star hotel, but very convenient to go to Zermatt. The room is clean. Bath with good warm water supplier. Good enough for 1-2 stay. On the town of Tasch, there are limited people. Less crowded. There is a CROSS on the mountain. Lighted during the night.... More

Good things: 5 min. walk from Tasch station, have there own shuttle, clean room, very comfotrable bed. Bad things: very small room, some noises come from the train station, NO internet in the room. I just want to ski in Zermatt, I staid there for two nights from 2nd March to 4th March. The hotel is OK if you are there... More
