In our numerous trips to Saas-Fee, the du Glacier became somewhat of a favoured destination as a place to rest our haunches for a week. The rooms are spacious and have lovely views of the brooding presence of the alps and the lower ski slopes. A TV, free WiFi, ensuite bathroom and other ammenities are provided in an environment that... More

We stayed here in December with our family. We were in the beginning disappointed because the hotel looks a lot nicer on the website photos then in reality. The rooms are a bit old, but the beds are good and everything worked fine. What we missed is that there is no longer a restaurant for lunch/dinner (only breakfast). There is... More

We have been to this hotel twice in one year and we are planning on heading back for a third! Although some of the rooms are looking a little tired and could do with a refurbishment, they are clean and tidy. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. It is not a lively hotel but it is a good... More

I've been there beginning of August. I've been in a single room on a high floor. The room was nicely decorated, well furnished, spotless, and with a fantastic view. The breakfast was very good also, and the service great.

This is a lovely hotel centrally located. We stayed in a family room which was perfect. Twin beds pushed together downstairs in a very spacious room and double bed upstairs in attic room which our young daughter loved. Lovely big bathroom with double sink, bath and shower. Very high standards of cleanliness. Hotel breakfast very nice and plentiful. Nice outside... More

Quiet and at the centre, quite nice rooms. A very old hotel that was very nicely renovated. Food was quite good. One problem though: the "Glacier" Hotel seems to have a problem with water !!! you have to pay for tab water in the restaurant (even if your purchase a bottle of wine !) and at the spa you only... The location of Hotel du Glacier is perfect: short 5-minute walk to the main ski lift and literally 10 steps away from heart of the village. Our family of 5 stayed in a Mischabel suite with two bedrooms and a large living room. It also included a small balcony, bathing in afternoon sun. The staff was very friendly throughout our... More

Hotel centrally located in village, close to shops, restaurants, bars and Alpin Express cable car. Hotel electric taxi picks you up on arrival with your luggage from the edge of the village, car free zone. Luggage delivered direct to room, skis and boots taken straight to ski locker room - thanks to Ralph the porter. Staff very welcoming and friendly,... More

My family and I have stayed at Hotel Glacier many times over the past few years. The hotel has large enough rooms to fit our family of 5 comfortably and with a bit of "living space". The breakfast is very good and plentiful and the hotel has free WiFi - which has always worked without problem. The staff at the... More

Our trip to Saas-Fee was an interesting journey.....in St. Gallen so drove to Luzern then thru the mountains in snow to Spietz, then a train to Visp then a bus to Saas-Fee with a ride that everyone should do once or maybe twice in a lifetime. The electric carts to the hotel was simply another aspect of the journey! The... More
